I very very much agree with this. In reality, Sm64 0 star is no where near sub-5, as evidenced by the console verification of it. What's going to happen is that Sm64 tasers will use mupen deliberately to get sub 5, then market it as "Sm64 beaten in less than 5 minutes!" knowing this is not actually true. It is misleading, will get lots of extra youtube views, but isn't doing the community any favors.

Just rename your .bin to .a26 However, all that does it avoid you having to pick the core in the Core picker dialog when you open the .bin. Either extension should allow you to play the movie

You can now submit your movie. (The parser was specifically unable to parse Atari 2600 PAL games, the issue has been resolved)

Please upload the movie file to the link Mothrayas provided, there's nothing useful to be done in this thread until you do. You are wasting people's time at this point.

Can you post the movie here please? Are you making sure it is a .zip file with a single .bk2 in it?

Looks like you got a bogus .cue file, those are just text, open it up and the solution might be pretty clear.

Looks like you are mistakenly opening the .bin file instead of the .cue file. EDIT: As for snes emulation, you are compiling from source, if so, Go to VersionInfo.cs and change the developer flag to false. Or checkout the release build only. Or just use an official release! You are running into experimental code in development. SNES emulation is fine.

so if you press buttons on the unused controller 2, stuff happens. On what planet is that considered a glitch? This is a clear cut case of debug codes. For reference, see Megaman 3

Genesis rewind is working fine for me. You do have to turn it on, in Config -> rewind -> check the "Medium states" checkbox. It is off by default for Genesis savestates.

TAStudio is not useable and is not intended for public consumption. You were getting to it from an unintended loophole that was closed. It is for your own good, the tool is in progress. If you were actually productively using it somehow, PM me.

Ok, fixed. Anyone who downloaded 1.7.4 before this post (there was 35 of you!) got a debug build. The symptoms are that it is about 50% slower, and snes has a weird command window. I highly recommend you re-download if you got this build.

Yeah, that's bad. The 1.7.4 build that was released was a Debug build. This means that it is a good bit slower, and will have "weird windows". Thanks, I will see about getting a new build up ASAP

Are you trying in the freshly released 1.7.4? Looks like I busted it :/ 1.7.3 works, but I wouldn't recommend using it for TASing. Oh well, it is a pretty cool feature, I'll try to get it working for the next release. I've never seen a game that shares subpixels among 2 players, I'm skeptical that's what's going on. However, that and other factors will make multitracking difficult. For instance, in a beat em up, you go beat up a guy with player 1, then you track player 2 to move to another guy, but in doing so, the first enemy moves two, and now player 1 is swatting at air.

There isn't much sync difference between fceux versions, have you tried 2.1.3, or 2.1.5?

Don't copy over your old release, make a new folder. If you copied everything over, you kept your old config file, because we don't distribute that. It is created when you open the emulator. If you get a busted up config file, just delete config.ini file. The real fix for your situation though is to simply redownload the latest release, and extract it into a fresh folder.

The old config file explains his "turbo" issue too. He's using neshawk not quicknes, and doesn't have the horsepower to turbo. By turbo I mean shift+tab, which stops sounds are part of its logic for maximum speed. Reusing config.ini files from old releases is risky and prone to having errors that waste a lot of time.

Using Bizhawk 1.6.0, on Ram Search, you can resize the window, but you can shrink it beyond where the buttons are, and thus can longer click the [/O Search ] [Z /O] buttons. Fixable by making the window larger again of course, but it'd help if there were proper minimum sizes defined. And while in RAMSearch, got a weird effect where values are not changing at all, yet their Change counter keeps increasing every frame.
Please use the latest version before reporting here. That version is about 7 releases old, and everything you mentioned has been fixed since 1.6.0

It will if he's running on 4 or 2 gigs. Firefox with a few tabs open while running bizhawk, and he wouldn't even have 1 gig to work with potentially.

BizHawk does this, because lsnes did it. And people were using lsnes because their movies were looking faster because it was less frames. There's advantages to the system though. Movies times are now accurate (whereas bizHawk movies in 1.6x or before are off by some seconds potentially). I hope this will spur some debate though. I reluctantly did this to BizHawk due to demand. Adding some kind of option in the core is potentially doable. (Certainly feasible enough that it isn't the reason whey we don't have the option)

Sappharad found this and put it on the issue tracker but you probably aren't following that so I'll post here: http://superuser.com/questions/536129/intel-3150-officially-wont-support-opengl-2-0-for-windows-so-how-come-i-read-it
