I'm just wondering how ROMs are made. I can understand ripping an ISO of a CD, but how does a console game get ripped into a rom? Since you can't put a nintendo game into the computer and directly rip it whats the process? -Ev

I guess this has turned into a general web comics topic now. If any of you want to listen to Eels and Smashing Pumpkins and read a comic and get really depressed I strongly suggest Stubble. http://www.stubblecomics.com/d/20001023.html is the first one. Read them all at once and then you too can be as depressed as I am! Woohoo! If you want to just read a wacky comic fit for nerds ... ehem... kings you should read RPG world. I love this one! http://www.rpgworldcomic.com/d/20000827.html is the link to the first one. Post more webcomics here! PS everybody knows about PVP, Real Life and Machall so no real need to link to them... -Ev

Wow. That's a LONG time to work in a speed run. Can't wait though, the time involved certainly means the quality will be amazing! -Ev

This post goes way back to the originals and off topic from the route via PS that this topic has taken. Do the authors of the new movie for MM2/RM2 know when its to be expected? Personally, I'm quite excited to see how it is exploited! -Ev

Ok guys. I searched the forums but I didn't see this as a post. Though I bet its here somewhere I felt since I couldn't find it I would post it. I've been reading this comic since its beginning and it never occurred to me to post on this site. Total brain-fart. Anyways, its called Bob and George. http://www.bobandgeorge.com/index.html If I were any of you video game fanatics (which I am), I would go into the archives and start the strip over. Its super funny. -Ev

PKJC, ok ok you're right. This system, like the Dreamcast did rule. It just had a problem with getting games out here to the US. And great memory, the game was Guardian Heros! I loved that game. The Mage was the best character ever. Plus he had a bunny! :D -Ev

Truncated: I tried to come up with something easy to explain it with. I guess I over shot it! But it still makes it a little more clear ya know? -Ev

existential nihilism is basically observable nothingness. its hard for me to describe in a forum base. I'm use to writing essays on the subject. Your best bet is to look it up on the wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org Basically, its that the world is as it appears. yet that appearance leads to a meaningless existence. I am most certainly not a nihilist. Existentialist maybe. More of an empiricist though. Empiricism in case you are wondering is that anything observable is testable. Because I can see how atoms combine to form molecules I can indeed test that 2 hydrogens an combine with 1 oxygen to form the molecule of water. As an aside, I'm wondering why this was brought up in the forums. flagitious, why do you believe this is true? I'm curious. Thanks! -Ev

Well when something like that comes up on a forum its probably a red flag to start monitoring EVERYTHING that comes into them. Just my opinion. -Ev

Xou: This comes way out of left field but I found it very ironic that you would use the word "occidental" in your post. Occidental is the name of the college I attend :D Good choice of words! Anyways, I'm positive the RPGish game I used to play was english. I'm pretty sure my friend didn't have a translated version. -Ev

I have some questions about the Sega Saturn. Question the first: is there even an emulator for mac or pc that emulates this G-d awful system? Depending on the answer to that my next questions arise. Does anybody remember that game where it was like a side scrolling RPG with that undead skeleton guy and the young mage and his pet bunny? It had all the normal RPG characters too in the King of Dragons types of games ie cleric, fighter, etc. What was this game called? That game was tons of fun from what i remember. If anybody wants to share this name and where to find an emulator for this game I'd totally take a crack at it. Second question. Anybody remember the KNIGHTS games? They were ahead of their time from what i remember. nobody really liked them, but if they came out for the Dreamcast I bet they would have had more of a following. Again, if anybody can shed light on emulation for the Saturn I'd take a crack at these too. Cheers! -Ev

Good deal. Though the problem remains that one of the key documents he has kept is comparing you to Hitler. Though if we "spam" it again we can potentially get the next site he hosts down as well. Time will tell. In the mean time the best thing for us to do is make more great game movies. :D -Ev

This is going to be a slightly long one so bare with me I have been out of town so I don't know when or how this happened... Did anybody catch my post on his forums? I went off on the whole Bisqwit = Hitler thing on his site. I mentioned how offensive it is to compare anybody to Hitler, but then I touched on another issue. I explained how his site not only should be offensive to Bisqwit and the rest of you fabulous gamers but more so to my fellow Jews. I am Jewish and doubt that makes any difference on this forum. Apparently my defending my culture and religion's views by bringing this point up in their forums got me banned. My username has been shut down and my post has been deleted. Just because my views are different from the biased sh*theads running the other site does not mean I should be permanently banned. What a bunch of biggots. If anybody they are the ones who could come the closes to being considered to be compared with Hitler. But, realistically, they are not even close. Does anybody know what happened? When it was taken down and if there were any replies to it? Any feedback on this would be really appreciated. Thanks you guys. Keep up the GOOD work on making these movies! :D -Ev

Even if the games are cheated (which I'm sure they are not) I would still be watching the .avi's created from them. No matter what, cheated or real, the videos are still entertaining. And isn't that really what this site is about? Entertaining to watch and to create... I think it is. What about anybody else? -Ev PS Did anybody notice whether or not the site has an email addy from the owner? I don't think it should be taken as seriously if he's too chicken to add his email addy to receive criticism on his own work.

I've got a buddy who is obsessed with the Micro-machines game. I haven't played it ever but does anybody think this game would be worth trying to either get him to make a run or try it myself? If its one of those games that would just be boring to watch and make I would scrap the idea. Any input would be fantastic! P.) -Ev

This might sound lame but I'm wondering why you wanted to know about the keyboard keys, Locke? (your handle rules btw). I honestly can't think of a reason for wanting to push that many keys at once... but I might just be a lamer! -Ev

There wasn't any KQ or the like released for Super Nintendo was there? If there was it might be possible to use the MarioPaint mouse for movement. If not... I guess I'm just out of luck! -Ev
