This movie was awesome! Big yes vote. And I support your decision for each cup to be its own TAS. I think MK64 should be done the same way for the same reasons.
It would be awesome to have MK64-TASes of GP and Time Trial. The former would look more impressive to watch, while the latter would be very interesting to see how much time can be saved, compared to the best realtime records. About the run: I was really impressed by the speed and the glitchyness of it. I sadly never played the game back in the days, but it was still very entertaining to watch. You should definitely do the other cups as well!

Voting no. Actually the reason I'm voting no is because this run does not complete the game. There are three levels and it only completes one.
Because we want more pixelated porn! Seriously, the content shouldn't be a reason to reject this. If Mortal Kombat can be published, this also can.

Cronikeys, I just wanted to thank you. You did so much for the community in this year. Banjo Kazooie was one of the few games from my childhood that was still "intact" and coudn't be broken down to a minimum. But then you came along and destroyed it more and more, but I couldn't be happier. Because I know, that know with all these new glitches, we will see a lot of amazing speedruns and on top of all, an absolutely mindblowing TAS. I'm really hyped for it! Keep up your great work and hopefully you will bring BK down to OoT-Levels of glitchyness^^

Nicovideo, seriously? You need to go through a crappy registration process to view videos, and the player doesn't support skipping. Sorry for complaining, but if you're going through the trouble of encoding it, why not make it as accessible as possible?
Registration? I just watched it without an account in this thread.

Thank you for the encode! Even though I couldn't read the stats on the bottom right, they're a great idea. This movie is so entertaining, where should I begin? The great variety of souls that were showed off while rushing through the game, the perfectly timed soul collecting, the complete annihilation of the bosses (take that, Death!), the many creative ideas... Without a doubt the best DoS TAS I have ever seen. IMO, this deserves a star.

I also do not understand why, but in the 16-bit era it was common for enemies to explode to show that they were dead or blink to show that they were receiving damage.

I can't believe how bad this is. It's not just bad, it's AVGN-material! I guess that's exactly the kind of game the vault needs.

Oh yeah! Btw, TASeditor, you said that the highest score could be reached in about 5 minutes. That's not too long, so it wouldn't matter if it wasn't that interesting, at least for me. We need more highscore runs!

IL's are possible in almost every type of game. The best idea would be to only have separate IL-movies in cases where the fastest way involves a different strategy than the full game run. I could also imagine a single movie that does every level of a racing game as fast as possible.

Theres one more thing I forgot to mention: What about IL's? With the current rules, things like time-trials in racing games are impossible to publish.

My question is, what about games that are basically the same, but on different consoles?
Thats complicated. Let's assume that a game has a PC and a N64-Version. The only differences are the limitations of the N64. Now from a technical point of view, it could still be interesting to see how one does manage to overcome these limitations and how fast this version of the game can be done. But the average viewer won't notice that. This could also be applied to old PAL-Versions. TASes of those versions could have the same qualities as TASes of slower ports, and there are many viewers from PAL-regions that are most familiar with those versions. And now that 6. Gen-TASing exists, we have PAL60-versions, which are actually faster!

A TAS of the Mini Game Island in Mario Party 1 would be very interesting, but technically it wouldn't finish the game. Reaching the credits in that game would be very long and tedious.

In terms of drug politics, I'm really proud of my country. Although drugs are still illegal, we have a great governmental therapy program to help drug addicts. It uses these methods: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opioid_replacement_therapy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heroin_assisted_treatment This system was established in the 90s and turned out to be very successful. In 2008, a popular initiative trying to revert this policy was rejected by 68% of the voters. I just wish they would legalise cannabis.
