Link to video This is to show what a run of the game may look like. I had no idea what I was doing. There is potential for lots of lag. And it seems to hang forever at the score screen.

The youtube encode has like 10-20 minutes of froozen screen just before the credits.
That's because of the encoder forgetting to turn off pause after playback. The frozen part is exactly where the input file ends.
should be fixed in the original post: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UKC6eKgFx6g well now there's a much shorter pause :p

Anyway, I tried to save frames from 1-1 in the WIP you sent me and I couldn't, so good job on making it so optimized. EDIT: Bhezt Rhy, here is the new WIP. I started off Fish Hooks Park for you by pressing > at the earliest possible frame. I don't know what's wrong with the PM system this week, but I hope you don't mind me posting the WIP here.

OK, here's a candidate for submission: http://www.mediafire.com/?qm893ua05b66c0y 233 frames saved in Northwall Act 2, 86 frames saved in Death Heim. Total number of frames saved is 1279 frames, or almost 21 and 1/3 seconds. For those of you who want some idea of the difference in lag between my run and Hotarubi's run, the difference in lag by the end of our runs according to the lag counter is 386 frames, or about 6 and 5/12 seconds, most of that derived from increased transition times due to the change in emulator version.

I had dropped this run for a while, but now I've picked it back up again. This time I sniffed out some RAM addresses, and did some lua scripting to optimize a boss fight. I abandoned my old WIP, but have a new one here.

Um... I remember being transported to a previous area on the PC version of Exoddus too, (with the auto turn cancel glitch) but I can't reproduce the glitch on the PSX version :( Invisible Abe? do you have any .pxm file with this glitch or can you explain how to do it?
Unfortunately, I don't have a pxm of it. Actually I've never tried it myself :p He told me that you just hold triangle to get the automatic second jump... or something... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LegRftQdbj0#t=0m52s It could be useful in a different area where you could use 'quicksave' and load (from Pause in-game menu). Although, I don't know if Abe will rematerialise :p

oh, in exoddus the glitch sometimes transports to places where it shouldn't. there's also the invisible-abe glitch, but i don't know how useful that can be in any situation.

Hmm, the lag counter is already coming in handy. It caught some lag in Filmoa Act 2 that I otherwise wouldn't have noticed, and was able to avoid some of it. Speaking of, here's Filmoa Act 2: http://www.mediafire.com/?9t2z3fzhaonm57m 16 frames improvement in this stage, for a total of 33 frames so far. Again a mix of Hotarubi's ideas and my own discoveries/improvements.
