PCSX-rr has led to a desync that I've been unable to fix. The desync occurs in Cave of the Gi. I'm still planning the run with Brutalal and currently testing different strategies on the bosses. New things have been discovered that may allow for a faster time. It will certainly be more entertaining than the usual methods. I think it is better to test many things before starting the real run. The new things need to be tested thoroughly. Once all of the different boss strategies have been tested, I may have to start the run again using a better emulator. It's being carefully planned and worked on.

antd, is there a reason you keep creating secondary accounts to upload encodes? Multiple accounts are not allowed.

I just found an 'epic' glitch. It allows Abe to become invincible for any amount of time by pressing a button. I'm still working out exactly how it occurs. This is for Abe's Exoddus. I don't know if it works on Oddysee. I'll post information once I discover how it works and if it is useful. It seems quite random.

Anyone found the RAM address for the RNG yet? Would love to play around with some luck manipulation.
i have found these for in-battle rng (critical hits, etc): 62E10 62E11 62E12 62E13 62E14 62E15 62E16 62E17 * 62E18 62E18 cycles 0 through 7, then the above addresses seem to correspond to 0 - 7. if the number is a 'critical number', then a critical will occur. this is only my idea though. i dont know how true it is. but this is not complete. there's another address that is responsible for criticals. i lost it, but im trying to find it again. here are the hit results when 62E18 and its corresponding look-up is locked: (trying an attack on each frame) http://pastebin.com/NXJcCgmF as you can see, most of the hits are criticals (>1000), but some arent. the pattern is the same though. i dont know how the 'other' address works. but i will try to work on it sometime.

this was quite funny i made a long recording, and then suddenly it crashes when i load a savestate upon reopening the emulator and selecting the DTM, it 'eats' it and the file is gone "read-only mode" was checked too.

is there a way for this emulator to have proper turbo mode? it is very slow with pcsx, turbo mode was fast, and this allowed me to jump to anywhere in my 3 hours ff7 run without any desyncs. i tried ticking 'frame skipping' in psxjin gfx plugin but it seems to disobey me. i also need turbo mode for my lua scripts, as otherwise it will be too slow. i have tested it and it never caused desyncs or errors (compared 65536 ram address outputs with + without turbo mode)

40 enemies = < 10 minutes (can get groups) 15 minutes boss saving 3 minutes wasted gaining a full limit bar (assuming each boss is given 10 seconds to fill cait's limit) there are other things that can be skipped too, which will ultimately save time Even in this worst case approximation, it seems Slots is faster. I cant decide if it is less entertaining to use it or not. This is because I don't know what's entertaining about Tifa's deathblow repeated in every battle.
