Update: Perfect elevator outcome And the password is KING! I'll put the latest segment on youtube, but does anyone prefer a direct download to the avi? (not the full run, just the current segment)

It decided to sync :D I have to accept a random encounter before shinra hq Current status: Elevator "1st" floor battle Manipulating Item drops: I have found so far that ending the battle on a different frame can produce different item drops. However, something else also causes different items to be dropped by the enemy. Does anyone have any TIPS so I can find out what else may be causing different items to be dropped?

Btw, the battery issue is actually nonexistent :P It has been a long time since I worked on this run, so I forgot what the real issue was. The real issue is complicated, basically i have to get into an encounter before shinra hq. The problem is that I have to go back quite a while until I there's a field which allows random encounters. The 30 second fail was caused because I have to pickup the ether from Aeris' house. This means I have to shop an extra time. Right now, no version is syncing. x__x

There's a bug with the lua script window in the latest version. It seems to think a lua script is running when it isn't. So my controller input isn't doing anything. The only way to stop it is to restart the emulator. happens a lot with this: http://antdlua.pastebin.com/eHitfrwv

We found that a mistake was made 30 minutes in. That mistake will cost at least 25-30 seconds. I'm not going back to fix it because it will take too long. And I am not willing to redo another 30 minutes of frame specific tedium. :P I'm having trouble manipulating enemy item drops. edit: desnyc issues. i may have to abandon if i cannot find a fix or workaround.

I'm not sure what you mean by rom and state. You can't arbitrarily rename the pxm and expect it to sync?

I finally solved my desync issue. My pxm named "Copy of Copy of new-ff7_main.pxm" never desyncs. If I rename it to "ff7.pxm" it desyncs at the same spot every time. I changed the name back and forth 10 times and it fixed/broke each time. Does this happen with anyone else?

BTW, audio commentary is not only interesting but also good for me to improve my English skills. Is anyone working on it?

The only way I can continue this sooner rather than later, is if I can quickly learn the economic principles of comparative statics and matrix inversion ;)
