Also, if somebody could be kind enough to relay back to julius_x, in his native language, the specific reasons why his run was rejected, it would be much appreciated!

Admittedly, I didn't know Taylor was joking (I just logged in, at the time, and noticed the post in the Grue section). I just saw his Twitter feed, too, which confirms it. It got me.

Gay, just checking in on you. Do you have any new progress on this submission?

Taylor, I'm not sure exactly what your intentions were behind this post, but that is unacceptable. For one, that is disrespectful, and even threatening, towards the person that judged your run. And two, it's simply an immature reaction to take. I understand that it doesn't feel good to have a run rejected, especially after putting in the hard time and effort behind it. But man -- don't burn bridges in the process. Your temp encode already has over 5,000 views (more than what most of the published runs get on the official channel). Plus, you already have an active run published. Please take a moment to put things in proper perspective.

Very impressed with the amount of time you invested into making this one, Mugg. Solid Yes vote!

Now THAT was an entertaining surprise at the end! It's always nice to see new tricks discovered for old games like these, even in 2015 :D

I'm honestly a bit more partial to the 100% (probably because I played this one a lot, back in the day, and strove to collect all of those red jewels). But as Derakon stated, either category is eligible for publication to the Vault (and Moons, based on majority positive voting/feedback). Panda, I also wanted to go ahead and give a quick TASing tip that I noticed during your SoE run: In the very beginning, I noticed that you had the start key held down in order to get through the intro and title screen. If you instead though, through trial and error hit the start key on the first possible frame that will get through those screens, you'll very likely save time (since that singular input will register quicker than having the key held down, throughout). Looking forward to your runs :)

That's fine too, CReTiNo :) I'll update the file here momentarily and have an official judgment made here soon, as well!

Aqfaq, can I also please request that you tone down the condescension a little?

What was the plague like? What caused it exactly?

To allow those Midianite women into the Israelite camp (which they, as Numbers 31 revealed, had already caused the Israelites to trespass against God) would be, essentially, permitting sin.
Sorry, if I misunderstand something, but isn't killing also sin? Doesn't God and The Moses Raiders already permit sin by killing children among other people? How does it make sense to sinfully kill the women in order to avoid sinfully loving them? Also, why didn't God just destroy the women? Was God not able to kill them himself? Makes so much sense that I am starting to believe in an omnipotent God. Oh, but maybe somebody can point out a useful mistranslation there somewhere? Or maybe somebody will invoke the ultimately incomprehensible nature of God as usual?
No problem, Aqfaq :) Just wanted to give a quick reply and state that I've seen your response, and that I will take the time to address your questions to the best of my ability (I think you had 7 there, total). I'll strive to get a comprehensive response posted here within the week.

Got your submission set to delayed. I apologize again, mtvf1. I misunderstood your original post.

This is my improvment. http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/25500042330572150 This run is 128 frames faster. Don't add me to the co-author, and I don't plan to submit it, too. Try your best and beat me, then I will vote yes.
......
mtvf1, I didn't add you as a co-author, but I assumed that you wanted to provide the file as an improvement to Gay's submission, since it beat his time. Did I misunderstand here? If so, I apologize.

You don't have to create another submission. If you will go ahead and upload the new file here and post the link, I'll replace it for you here in the thread :) Here's an example of how it is done: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=416880#416880

Not sure if someone is yet in the process of making another, but TheAngryPanda over in the game's SNES thread made a "temp" temp encode that ends just after defeating the final boss. edit 2: creaothceann now has a great 720p, 60fps encode with the full ending, below!

At around frame 33880 (as you're falling), if you take the higher path instead of the lower path, you can reach those platforms faster and save time. From there, you should be able to re-sync your input for the rest of the TAS. (Archanfel, could you help him more here, if he needs it?)

When I made the official judgment, the decision for which tier to place it in boiled down to the voter feedback given. At the time, this submission was sitting at an 86% positive feedback rating. Since this was also around the 5th day the submission was on the Workbench, I deemed this to be enough (along with the overall gameplay) to place it in the Moons category.

Hey, Doc. I'm getting a de-sync on your run at about the 24,306 frame mark (just a bit after Sora levels-up and re-enters and the overworld screen). It looks as though an RNG change inadvertently occurs, as Sora strikes at an empty spot that looks as though there should have been an enemy. Was there any other emulator settings or options that you used?

CReTiNo, would you like to go ahead and add this improvement in to your submission? If you need a little bit more time to sync it, that's fine.

As with all these site change discussions, I have no idea how much coding work would have to go in to implement changes. With that said, one idea I would be in favor of is narrowing down the voting numbers to half increments (5.5, 6.0, 6.5, etc.). I believe that would simplify the process a little better, and give slightly more incentive for members to vote on movies. A while back, Mothrayas also mentioned in another thread the idea of simplifying voting by narrowing the process to a movie's publication page. Similarly, I'd also be favor of being able to rate movies while they're still on the Workbench (I know there was another thread discussing that somewhere, too...).

@ Kurabu and Weegeechan, I have a two part question here: Would Kurabu like to include Weegeechan's improvement to this original submission? Also, would you two like to possibly co-author on this, and look for more improvements (being as this is a very short game)?

Just wanted to say, Kurabu, that this was much better work from you :) You're becoming a better, more disciplined TASer.

Jlun2, are you using any additional Config settings, by any chance? I followed your directions, above, and also had to enable 'Advanced Bus-Level Timing' in order to get past the title screen (otherwise, it desynced at the loading screen). However, I just experienced a desync at around frame 31k (about the beginning of Ch. 5). edit: Just got it to sync all the way. Thanks, xy2_!

Oh, wow! I was certainly proven wrong here :) Going by the last part of sprocket2005's TAS (I believe I got the link time-stamped right at the end), I had thought otherwise due to the game soft-resetting on him in the final battle. I'll go ahead and update my submission/description texts to correct this.
