Cool-Cool rerecord count, vote no Btw read guidline and how to make tas before submiting, mmbossman already rejected your runs and linked it to you, it seem you just ignored it and instead learned how to hexedit your rerecord count, good job keep it on !

Personally i founded the 13 first minutes extremly boring, then well theres somes fights, the effects are cute, it was somewhat cool But can somebody tell me if it does actually beat the game ? no credits, no game over, no ending, need to do more characters?

Sinister: Thx, i already have somewhere a avi of nikolai killing everything, the main issue is its too slow and would be boring, i believe, this is why i took carlos so i could take advantage of criticals hits and make the movie not "too" long, i think a 1 hour (or even 30min) run with nikolai would be a bit too long I was thinking to use nikolai for pure speed clearance, i dont know yet if he will save everybody ect... but i think the speed goal is better For a 100% kill i think its either carlos or michael, its fun with knife but the problem is its very slow, but well, maybe if the audiance urge to see knife run will do one, yet you can see in the other resident thread in workbench generaly the speed win over the knife ^^

Options → CPU → Put the check in "Resident Evil 2/3 Fix"
This is wrong, you are not suppose to do that, you are suppose to go in "map hotkey" and then while making your movie use that hotkey to enable disable the hack, see this movie : http://tasvideos.org/2483S.html When you use a hack, the submision page will say "ALERTS POSSIBLY COMPROMISING MOVIE INTEGRITY" then "Resident Evil 2/3 fix" hack enabled", your movie doesnt, so if the hack is needed it wont ever sync unless you correct this Im not sure how you forced it to make your video, yet, its not activated or the site would see it, and its (probably) not possible to replay the movie until the hack input is made inside the movie (if the hack is needed at all... probably its not needed)

Your almost saying that like i could have do something else, so ill try sarcasticaly to remind the goal of this mini-game: its a race and in order to gain time you have to kill monsters or rescue hostages, the idea is to run run and kill kill, yes, theres nothing else you could do Its realy like saying mario is boring because its run run jump jump, supa interresting comment indeed If you prefer no kill watch the published run i guess, wait no dont, youll complain anyway

in the room @ 9:53 of the encode the second zombie from the box is alive when you exit the room :)
Nah, hes dyeing as i exit, the animation of their death is not yet complete (i got the bonus...), theres a few corspe on the floor that are not "alive" also

also near the end, isn't a time bonus hidden when you 'usualy' get the street map? (@17:17)
There is a lot of time bonus you can earn simply by walking in some areas, you can find a list on gfaq i believe, those bonus seemed quite useless to me since i finish with over 14 min on timer :p And yeah ill try nikolai soon or latter (with most likely speed goals)

Is it possible to keep dodging enemies to get virtually unlimited time?
Yes there is a trick in a room near end, theres 3 dogs and you can climb on a sort of box, they wont ever reach you but if you dumbly hold r2 and press X it will keep on dodging them (as they try to attack you), so you can get grade A that way too, just a matter of time to waste on dodging them As well you could just have the crowd of 10 zombies and use tas lightning reflex to keep on knocking them down until ... you get bored doing so As for how to categorize this movie, ill leave the headhash to judge, all i can say is while making this movie i didnt aimed at speed (even if its quite optimized within its goals), and if its get 100% kill categorie then it will be very easy to obsolete it, for exemple, killing zombies instead of using explosive barrel (lurk zombies) will go faster, saving considerable time, as well as some unecessary dodging, or simply taking damage might goes faster (as well as reducing the score...) I did all this kind of stuff for the purpose of entertainement, basicly (i think i didnt totaly failed on that aspect ^^ ) Note that personally i think it suit both cases 100%kill or playaround, and i would have hard to make the choice, but i suppose it should go on playaround since on speed im not at the top, yet its fair to introduce competition and more movies by making it 100%kill, we still will have that one as a reference even if its obsoleted, and dont overflood categories for this game, either way ill be glad if this get accepted at all :p

Thanks to everybody for positive feedback, especially to Aktan for encode BadPotato: no, i did it the old way, that room alone was realy a pain in the ass to manipulate a "fun" outcome (ie they kill eatch others, punchs&rockets), i did made sure not getting any damage there with close rockets and had to monitor their hp as well Dromiceius: there is only 1 missed shoot in the whole run, on demo linking to police station alley, its to manipulate the rng yes, for the rest of the run if i shoot at nowhere its because the camera angle is not set on my target (cant do much about it), yet you should hear the zombies head exploding or hitting whatever my target is, aiming is automatic btw (lock on nearest target) Mukki: i dont know :p *stares at the judges* (i wonder same than you obviously) SirVG: yeah, the only trouble i have is i dont know yet what to do with it, speed for speed it mean like getting a F grade, i believe need to use nikolai, because obviously doing a full kill run with him would be idiot, hes clearly designed for speed clearance, yet, i dont know if a rank B is ok and im not sure how to get a rank A with very low killing, overall it was such a shitstorm to figure i went ahead and choose kill everything (and trying to do it as stylish as i could), a little feedback on the forum on what is realy "the fastest" acceptable will be needed, i believe, before taking on that goal seriously

Yeah essentially, with a native win32 interface Alltought pcejin will not allow you to tas the numerous other systems from mednafen (gg,nes, lynx, ngp ect...) Note that anyway the library of thoses systems is totaly bs and not worth tasing except some few handy titles

Bug report 0.1.2 : If you map the resident evil 2/3 hack, it will activate the Parasite Eve 2 hack, and vice versa, mapping PE2 will set RE2/3

This is in the original game, i believe The bug is because you removed lag, witch make using pause too soon, theres too many objects on screen > crash game (if you delay few frames should work)

Twin Galaxies Senior Referee ... omg roflcopter... you know you should remove that from your signature if you ever want somebody to take you seriously, ps: im jking Mr. arukAdo Edit: well i watched, while technicaly the movie seem allright and good executed, the game choice is poor i think, just way too much looking like original tetris, im not super fan of puzzles anyway and its far from blowing my mind, ill trow in meh

Thats playing with words, the reality is there is a input file, he gave the link to it, again it doesnt mean he want it submited, but tought, theres no privacy whatsoever or dont give the link on a public forum at first then Notice again he didnt gave a link to youtube, nor FF stole him a input file, he gave the link to the input file... on a public forum... to me its like do whatever you want with it... Now it would get upsetting if FF did stole the input, or dont make credits goes where they belong, this is not the case, so ill not trow a stone at FF, if the guy dont want it to be "published", i guess its not going to be hard to remove it from the site, as for the privacy of his input file its gone at the moment he posted it on a public forum If that guy doesnt like the site at first like your saying, and hate us, why even posting link to it here then? Like sorry im retard i posted a link but i realy dont want it here? cant he just edit his post and remove then ? No he didnt, so lets stop exagerate fantasm on people whillings, we are not mind reader, and hes not retard to the point to give a link he want to keep private on a forum he hate... all that is non sences

Doesnt the guy putted a link to his movie file in FF's gruefood topic ? Like, if he didnt wanted this to be shared, why even putting a link on a public forum then ? its not just youtube he gave the input file... Granted it doesnt mean he want it submited, alltought, theres no doubt, this is public material and if he didnt wanted it to be "distributed", then dont give a link in the first place .... your overreacting on this i think As for the movie itself, seemed wicked :p Im not a hyper fan of tetris, but it clearly looked faster than FF's run, ill toss in yes

Personnally i prefer good ending, and chris, but that just me... (and no i dont think it take that "longer" to finish with chris, few more mins at worst, 2 different category tought, each character deserve a movie)
