To me its perfect, one advice tought, turn off comments on youtube or be prepared for mass spamming and completly useless comments, witch will be 90% of the time "what is the music!"... even if you say it in the video

Does anyone notice that Richard, Alucard, Dracula, & Shaft have the exact same voice? Its kinda scary.
Its wrong, every of those character have a different comedian voice http://www.mobygames.com/game/castlevania-symphony-of-the-night (full actors there, 5 different males)

Some parts looked like they could have been faster.
Care to explain witch parts you believe is sloppy? Some are effectily a bit sloppy (not that many tought...) but id like to know what people think is improvable This is not a perfect movie anyway, but it isnt bad neither and its 1:18 faster than actual run, even if i take a full minute to climb dracula pit :p So overall it wasnt a bad idea to release it i think Too bad the 2 meh voters didnt took the occassion to explain why meh

I'm not certain about the exact mechanics involved in avoiding experience, though.
Its pretty nuts, theres 2 main ways, with or without the clock subweapon, in this movie its without, you need to be invulnerable (spell/potion) then enter ennemy sprite while you cant be hit, then do a combo very fast (sword/axe here) The biggest improvement on this technique was black panther to get masamune The petrify effect of medusa shield (panther is affected...) is effectivly working like the clock subweapon effect The fleamans bouncing require to have 1 STR, and 32hp max, the most troublesome is the book in library actually, this one require us to be max level2 when entering lib (note: having more than 1STR also mean to kill ballon pods in inverted chapel, in this movie i dont get level up because im still 1 STR there) Oh, and fairy does heal you if you get in yellow numbers (low life), after big toss she will always try to heal you, higher level fairy = faster reflex to heal you Big toss does trigger her healing behavior much more than taking low hits

Sound promising enought, not sure where was the emulation bugs, its hard to notice Is it not possible to "skip" battles like in ff7, by walking at some point to avoid it ? No analog ? that would be bad for that game i guess

No, I'm not. Also, I'd never ever recommend compiling from the SVN: it may contain even more bugs than the official releases and it will be much slower, unless you want to PGO every time you make a new build.
Your not ? since rev162 4 days ago there was 22 commits... lets say its dead and inactive... if you feel it better that way Pretty much was saying this (with delay...) because of the fix you made upon badpotato remark on the input bug for lua... without this fix i guess it would be impossible to make a ff7 bot... that was just my point Now yeah i didnt meant its failsafe to use SVN, actually i think it doesnt even matter how stable the emulator is, beside this looping boss antd didnt mentioned crash or suchs PGO or not, here its just the same on speed, i dont have a prehistoric pc so i cant tell about those tought

I dont think opening the lid is possible, or it would be in hotkeys then As for lua, yes, it can replace the java bot and its integrated in pcsx now, so its your "holy grail", now you just need to be sure having latest pcsx build i guess, compile it from svn (apparently mz is activly fixing/enhancing lua) Also you need some lua knowledge, theres should be some around, i guess that would be cake for DarkKobold

http://fceultra.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/fceultra/fceu/output/luaScripts/luabot_framework.lua?view=markup < Lua bot exemple Also, awesome move with lua mz, i saw that yesterday on pcsx-rr update and was quite shocked :p Heh, now i guess pcsx only miss fm2 format to be perfect :D

I checked your movie, it doesnt contain run key press near end, not sure whats your problem (maybe same weirdness than i had), it does beat the game here anyway Edit: ram watch is fine here too, no idea about that

Girls are part of the % count, not sure what you meant After further testings, what determine mainly % (this value is shown in game main menu) is the boss you beat at end of stage (theres generaly 2 choices), the girls like i sayd, and for stage5' theres seem to be no rules since theres no boss there, so you just need to beat the stage Theres no other character choice than richter or maria, ending with maria is merly what you can call a joke, theres differences with richter at least when you save everybody and have 100% The difference in a dirty sram run would be you can cut off dialogues, and you can play directly with maria Also, need to mention, so far dirty sram not supported

Im experimenting some desync playback issue in nitm with alucard, altought i cant tell if its same than you or not, thing is, with maria/richter i didnt had those issues, well, they was fixed... somehow alucard game seem different, so im assuming theres still some troubles around that need to be solve, problem is its not easy to catch them If you are not already, be sure to use latest svn, compile it yourself, or just wait for some fixes in next releases

Ok the pause was on my side then i guess Yeah for ram watch thats exactly what i meant, boss hp and damage given probably would have been an asset, im saying this coz ram watch is going to be in next release

Ok i voted yes to this, the game not super good, i think overall you made a good job, i prefer to be optimistic on this than pesimist But... Im pretty sure you could have do better with ram watch, well, assumptions :p Why does the game paused after you kill last boss ? i had to push run to un-pause (i looked your input and theres no run pressed near end...) Just a bug/shit on my side or the game realy pause itself after you beat boss? in that case you need to hex your movie and add unpause, else credits dont rolls

Bimmy and Jimmy are back, on pc engine this time, this is a remake of the famous NES game Like most cd games on pcengine, the only way they took advantage of cd was to put a real soudtrack, and some mini-manga / anime in between stage (both well done here imo) Alltought, they totaly remade the game engine, while i regret deeply the cheap sound of nes flying knees, the graphics and soundsfx are much better here Took most obvious options: No Demo ON (in between stages storyline), Hard mode, 2 Players Mode B WIP of mission1 This is just a first approach, also its my first 2players TAS, adelikat is going to be teaming with me, so whe can except something high quality i believe Wasnt hard to find a full playtrought (include storyline) on youtube, but well here you go : Part1 Part2 Part3 Part4 Part5 (see here typo in credits) The quality of the game is obviously way higher than its nes old brother, good musics, good sprites, everything seem to go fast, no lag ect... It respects almost fully the original game, i think theres a stage order reversed but other than that its quite same spirit So i think this is a good game to TAS :p

The game clearly is bad to me, poor sprites, poor music and sfx, tought, you so much glitched your way trought it i will give it a yes, its technically very impressive, and since the game realy look poor imo, thats the best you could get from it A regular run, trillions hours long would have bored me to death, would have voted meh or no for sure, but here its quite fast paced, if you can improve it more in futur i say go on ;) Imo what kill the entertainement is how bad the game is, trow in hours of gameplay and sure it ruin the run

Yeah. It's happening a lot lately, almost every active thread in the general forums are getting derailed to arguing about this.
Fun thing is those thread are always started by non-players....
