Very bad game, but the run was pretty cool and very wtf, must vote yes just for the motaro fight, it was hilarous, last fight was good too, good job turning out a shitty game into a very good tas.

Well idealy have to do the 4 runs, ClaireA LeonB LeonA ClaireB. This is _massive_ work tho, so hardly can be done by just one player. Theres also hunk (100% kills?) and tofu (pacisift?) afterward. Afaik the runs on sda are good to go with, just a bit less pickup and few extra evasion are to be considered, but route wise the grunt work is already done.

The re3 submission/topic contain detail about how the hack work, and yes its grunt work (youll have to test EVERY door in game to check wether or not it require the hack, and trust me ill look behind because if you extra use the hotkey where its not required thats like cheating, basicly). Theres a web irc client http://webchat.freenode.net/ Edit: theres not much to explain on the hack itself, its a hotkey, so its like a button press, its recorded _inside_ the movie, so its also playback afterward, the only difference with other button is you have to key down, then on another frame frame key up (press/release the button), this is done with the same key tho.

Hi, im working on this, even tho i didnt exactly started, drop by irc if you want to have a talk about it, theres 4 runs to do so the work can be spliced if your cooperative kind, otherwise wish you best luck. And no theres no setting whatsoever, except that you need to use hack hotkey.

This game is so bad its hard to believe it actually exist, that someone coded the game, and that some kids got that as gift or whatever, both were probly very sad afterward. Even flash games are often better nowaday.

You are saying never post again if I don't use frame advance? I am against it. Some people like cheese on their burger some people don't. Some people like frame advance other don't.
Let me say differently, if you keep doing that, youll get banned, I did like Tootache post as it was positive, id like you to realize and understand that you have to change and you was wrong, wether i was a bit sarcastic or not it doesnt matter, claiming you wont use "ever" frame advance mean for us you are trolling, that result generaly in ban.

then why don't you make one?
we are busy either doing other games, making encodes, maintaining the site, coding emulators ect... we arent looking for quantity, or you would see already a run for every game made, we look for quality

Ok thx, but how this concern us anyway ? who made 2500$ from tasing, lping or sdaing ?...? aside from youtube, or the nerd (lets assume he have a concept near LP). Edit: while looking quickly the sda link, they are eventually concerned with "raising" fund, technically maybe its right, theres a easy solution tho, they could have a seperate fundation or whatever alike, either way, we are nowhere concerned by this, i think the grand total revenue for tasvideos.org is 0$, including taxes.

I dont understand this
if you engage in “public performances by electronic means” 10 or more times over a 180 day period, and if either the total economic value of those performances exceeds $2500 or the cost of getting the copyright holder’s permission to perform exceeds $5000, then you can potentially get fined and put in jail for 5 years
In that article DK provided they say its the current state of their bill, this doesnt concern any of our activity, i think this is a problem for streaming sites making money from advertising with our videos, but surely nobody on our site (or sda...) is making out 2500$ from 10 videos in 3 months, this is absurd, youtube might make money but i doubt they make much from streaming tas or speedruns, but that doesnt matter anyway, since we all earn 0$ from those activity, we wont go to jail then. So yeah LP retardness can keep going, but people like the nerd ect... are probly a bit worried by this.

Im very pleased with the idea that the run holding 1796M _doesnt_ contain the 50 seconds wolf-alucard phase, removed dust into some segments (mainly reverse castle), and also doesnt have the dialogues (near 5min of no-action). It is debatable wether or not the whole strategy in the regular keep was more fun, im inclined to agree it was definitly more crazy and so, more entertaining, but the trade with the dumb wolf flying is really catching up this, removing most every breaks in the flow of the movie. The movie aint perfect, because it would be arrogant to say otherwise, but its a tonne of work on manipulate damn luck, i say good luck for next revision to whoever takes on it (including me), but yeah this will keep the "magic" number :D Thx again to MisterEpic, Pirate klmz and everybody im missing anyway, im glad this was published as 1796M, truly epic! edit: this might not be a good idea, and its optional anyway, but maybe an alternate encode with the dialogues ? since everybody love the dumb acting, its epic! :p

Can i ask why the square (or is it triangle?...) button is not hold in battles? This remove the HUD (HP, commands and top status)... making fights _MUCH_ better/entertaining/viewable. That unless it affect the rng as well ? To me this is much more important than just what strat you use (the end or whatever), thats realy how a viewer should look at the battle... i mean without all the garbage hp/commands that nobody cares about. In FF7 it it less important, since it remove _only_ the commands, but since it remove everything here, i think its important.

Ive been doing some tests today, at first i thought the bosses were improvable, but i havent been able to pull more than 5 frames on medusa, so i was wrong apparently, the extra damage from all crits in the original movie is actually very marginal, for sure it doesnt compensate 2 seconds. It would appear that the biggest time loose is within 2 extra jumps im doing, 1 in normal chapel and 1 in the reverse, it is due to misalignement with subpixel, well i havent found a better explanation at least since the original input was getting me just a pixel away from where i should end up. I will assume that the whole time difference is simply the accumalation of all lags that delay 1 or 2 frames across the run and the extra jumps.

In this case, PCSX isn't obsolete yet.
Does this will last forever like that? /debate By removing lag theres a chance to "catch" back the right rng seed and get identical time, i think. Also, its important to understand the process to make this movie was simple, boring for sure, but simple, upgrading to a futur psxjin will be even more easier. Thats to say, i realy dont mind if this get rejected since i havent wasted my life on it, but i dont get whats so wrong with it, and that would be a pretty assy precedent to set imo. "your not allowed to migrate good movies to newer version of emus" i dont see the point either of such a rule, and all players points will go to the original author anyway. i dont see hordes of people claiming for improvements or whilling to tas it, its been made with pcsx 0.5 i think, its 2 years old almost now (few days away from the pub date), realy i dont see whats so wrong.

Its fun how close this game look to Rocky (reviewed by AVGN), yet it seem less colorfull, smaller sprites, nothing in between combats, very dull for short. Meh too boring.

Well if you realy feel in a hurry to judge it go ahead and ill ask grunt to delay after, but its simpler i think to leave it like that (28 more movies to go)

Theres no improvements working, and yeah i wanted to get 1796M ... that aint be long anymore now. The point to delay was more about avoiding somebody accidentally publish it.

last rejected run decision:
DarkKobold wrote:
....Second of all, this run doesn't play at the highest difficulty. Now, this also shouldn't be a sole reason for rejection, especially since it only adds health to bosses. (I actually think the difficulty this is played at should be up for debate.) However, the decision on the previous movie stated that further movies should use the highest difficulty, and I think that should hold weight.
So yeah, highest difficulty.

I second this, tasing with a psx pad since begin and on any emulator. Btw, theres one input plugin that handle directx pad (segu?), so it should work, but i recommand to use joytokey instead, so you can assign some hotkey along.
