I did a run of this at SGDQ with something closer to what that TAS route would be.

I also toyed around with doing a TAS as a April Fool's day prank. I didn't go ham on everything as it was originally going to be a pseudo best case real time run that I started playing more TASlike around the time of the second boss fight. Plus, I am not sure how to make sure everything I was doing was most optimal.

I'm pretty sure TAS can skip at least 1 more chaos emerald if someone can figure out how to despawn mines in the underwater section. I spent like 1/3rd of my time working on this crap TAS trying to figure out how the mines work and never got any progress
Also I don't know if this will be helpful, but I poked at the RAM some while working on the TAS and wrote up my thoughts as to what things I found were what, but I am not sure any of it was right. Also I explain the jump activation of the priority glitch.
