About my post, i'm trying to do the last jump (min 01:00). That's the only part that i can't do perfectly and i must await till the Deku plataform rises up a bit to jump into the plataform. U_U.
It's tricky since the camera stays in zoomed out view, so you must turn the analog stick while in the flower to face the platform(just guess), fly to the edge, and press A to grab on as soon as you hit the edge. He should land right on the platform if done correctly.
What do you mean ?? must i turn the stick on any direction + Press A button when Deku Link hits the plataform ?? O__oUu.
You have to move the stick while in the flower, and turn yourself in the direction of the platform before popping out. Or try this: Before diving into the flower, face link in the direction of the platform, then you won't need to guess since you'll already be facing it. Now once you near the corner of the platform, he should land right on it, and you don't have to press A I'm pretty sure.

Yep, my mistake, I shouldn't have said grab since he actually doesn't.

I know I have asked lots of questions but I have two more. If we get 5 Deku Nuts in the spirit temple but you said it takes like 7-8 to beat Ganon, where do we get the other 2-3? The route says after Dodongo's Cavern is beaten to get Kakariko bottle. How do you get from Death Mountain to Kakariko since the guard still hasn't opened the gate. I am guessing you either take the owl, or bomb hover over the gate. Let me know thanks.
When you come to the gate from the opposite side, you can pass right through it, no hovering needed. Edit: Wow, I just noticed this thread was started way back in 2005 by TSA. When you think about all the discoveries that have happened during that time...just wow. It certainly has come a long way

You won't need more than one light arrow for Ganondorf, since he can be beaten in one cycle. Which part are you asking where the sword glitch can be activated? If dodongo's, then off either the nearby bomb plant, or the chest. If jabu, you can activate the glitch with bombs. I'm no expert on BA stuff, so can't help ya there. And try using breaks in your sentences, it makes posts a lot easier to read.:p Edit: Anyone else having trouble viewing that WIP on FF? Mine's just a blank screen...

Does it matter what time you arrive at the ranch? Like, you could get there at like 4-4:30 and it wouldn't really matter, right?

I didn't know about the video until S@G posted it here, thinking it was a genuine sequence break. I probally would have taken a more relaxed point on view had I just stumbled across the video myself.
Yeah, me too, though the "found by kirby8943" part should have been a dead giveaway.:p (I kid the kirby, I got nothing against him, really.)

Not to mention that video was made as a joke, but some people took it seriously.

Alright, this is stupid, when I go to start movie playback, the .m64 won't even show up! It's saved on my desktop, but when I go there to open it, it's as if it's non-existent. Maybe I'm screwed.

I got mupen, but I can't seem to get the file to open, I just keep getting this error message, like "not a valid win32 application". I got the rice plugin too, which didn't seem to work either.

So, would I need mupen to watch that?

Sorry I haven't been following this topic at all, could you tell me where you are currently or maybe direct me to which page the latest WIP is on? Also, I don't know if this has been addressed, but I was watching your swamp and palace area, and I noticed you weren't spinning before hopping across the lily pads, which is quite a bit faster than simply hopping across normally. Ok, thanks in advance.

In fact, we'll most likely hear more about that unrecorded 'zip on up the ladder' back in the Deku Tree.
What's this "zip on up the ladder" you speak of?

I thought that was called the Trial Skip/barrier skip.

Holy shit, just when I think a game is as raped as it's gonna get, this happens.... Great job, Acryte, I have no clue how you figured this out, but the community thanks you for what you've done! Too bad that damn odd potion can't be picked up as child, then it would be a whole new level of rapeage.

Just when you think the game's been utterly broken... So, when should we expect to have the Door of Time skip figured out? ;) Actually, would that even be helpful at this point?
Duh, it would destroy the child portion.

Just a theory: In the Forest Temple, can the boss key be obtained by bomb hovering to it after the twisty hallway?
Interesting, but you can't walk on ceilings so you'd have to clip through the chest...ahh who knows it could work.

Nice, sounds good Guano. You'll kill the old run in no time.:) I don't see what the big deal is about TAS runs being inferior to normal speedruns, I personally love watching near-perfection, and if nothing else they can open up new ideas for regular speedruns. Edit: Yeah sorry that was my fault for bringing up TSA's comments on the old run. It seems the very mention of his name around here ignites great anger.:P Oh, and is there somewhere where I can view Guano's current route? Sorry but I'm kinda new to this topic and it would be cool to see exactly where he's going and stuff so I could point out any ideas that I might have.

Alright, after reading that topic and a couple others which it lead to, it seems like TSA was rather harsh on the TAS, but hey we all make mistakes. I just discovered JXQ's commentary for the previous TAS, funny stuff. Great to listen to while watching. Edit: lmao, he actually goes to make a sandwich during the commentary.:P

Sorry I must be missing something, what did TSA do that made him such an ass? He's made some great runs, which in turn inspired better runs, and I don't see anything wrong with that. I don't know him personally but don't you think you guys are overreacting just a bit? Anyway, that's all I'm gonna say I don't want to clog up this thread with arguments about TSA. btw, what is the target time now for this TAS?
