I knew about the up+down trick from the Link to the Past video, but this one goes far beyond that in craziness. Yes vote. It would be nice if I knew what was going on.

I really don't want to take part at this ultra pointless discussion, but I have to say something about this. "mystical wonderful perfect movie" there was already a WIP, that showed, how optimized an OoT run can get, so it's not mystical. the thing is, that this old WIP was made under the condition, that mupen plus would come out soon, which was supposed to allow save warps. because of that, they didn't take any damage before getting adult, so there was no way to get out of the Temple of Time again without jumping into the void 6 times. because of this they had to re-do completely. As Swordless major project was always Majora's Mask he waited for Slowking and me to stop discovering new tricks and strategies and planning the new route until july and started that TAS again. sadly he gave up in august and told me to go on with it. now the major project was OoT again, but as no one of bloobiebla, Mitjitsu and Swordless had enough free time to work on it together until this year's May, they decided to finally do this project then. Mitjitsu actually already started to discuss routes and stuff like this with the zelda irc before this run was submitted, which proves that they'll start working on it soon. They are planning to finish the TAS until the end of this summer
There are also trailers and videos of Duke Nukem Forever.

Yeah right. In case you missed it, part of the reason this got published is that no one believed your movie would ever come out. If you hadn't noticed, adelikat and others had been desperately trying to get the other movie off the site. There was the attempted 'grue obsoletion' which was rejected by a majority of the site. Then, they farmed THIS movie from a completely different site. Perhaps if there was any believe your mystical, wonderful perfect movie was going to happen before the year 2020, this movie would have been rejected. Really, if there is anyone you should 'blame' for this movie being on the site, its you. But, you are Mr. Perfect. In theory you're right but absolutely not in this instance. In this case, it's like saying "We should check out Obama's birth certificate" and then denying that you are a birther because you never said "Obama was born in Kenya." No matter how much Slowking wants to deny it, he thinks the run sucks and shouldn't be published, got shot down by the voters and the judges, and so then switched his focus to trying to deny the run via rules technicality (not even a real rules violation, mind you, like the previous OoT run which was invalidated because it was beat by a console run). He's entitled to his opinion. But then he whined for a faster encode after flaming the site, quite a douchebag move which he deserves to get called out for.

Maybe the problem is that you can't read. I never said that this run shouldn't be published. I only said that the next run should also be allowed to use the J version and I did clearify that multiple times now. And yeah I'm talking "shit" about a site that doesn't consider it's own rules to be relevant. Do you have a problem with that?
I have a problem with you being a douche and talking shit about the site in one second but in the next demanding the site do something for you. Somehow you expect that by insulting someone, you'll get them to do you a favor? If you have a problem with the "rules", it's obvious you don't want the run published. But you're on the wrong side of a landslide. If someone lost an election 80-20 typically they can't find a hole in the ground fast enough to hide in.

Looks like the actual voting is totally not in line with how the thread is going. There seems to be a silent (vast) majority and a (very) loud (and quite small) minority.

I'm not trying to say, that I could easily beat this TAS within one day of work, because I'm so awesome, I just want to say, that publishing this TAS would be a step back into the wrong direction ;)
So because Duke Nukem Forever will be the greatest FPS of all time, nobody can release an FPS until it is released? The promised OOT run is apporaching DNF-level vaporware. Let's not lie to ourselves.

I like the killing off of your allies to save time in early battles. However, I don't get why waiting a long time to hand Cricket Pie to Frogfucious saves time, it seems that sequence is mandatory anyway.

Significantly more entertaining than the previous one. I'll give it a yes vote. I'd find it more entertaining though if you got Pikachu to commit suicide without hitting him (I've done this on console before) and if you crushed Ness at the end after speeding through the credits.

The only enemies that appear on the Veldt are ones that you've already fought elsewhere. The no exp thing is annoying for normal purposes, but golden for low level runs, who fight there repeatedly as a way to build up AP without gaining EXP. I think the reasoning for it is that the monsters on the Veldt are significantly weaker than their normal counterparts oustdie.

I definitely saw the skips... Yakra just sort of stood there while the party walked out, Heckran sort of committed suicide, and the party walked right past Ozzie to the other side of the bridge. This definitely saves time over fighting the actual battles.
