I can't say when anything will be compatible, but thanks for letting me know that this game isn't. I might have seen another game with a similar issue, "Elona", since both games attempt to establish a network connection and wait forever on a title or loading screen. I wonder if these games run when disconnected from the internet... if so, Hourglass could simulate that. But it could also be an unknown problem unrelated to the network.
boshy doesnt need the internet it only uses it with the automatic updates which can be made so that hourglass make boshy think there is no internet and the multiplayer aspect which wil be useless for TAS anyways and the frame thingy boshy operates nearly the same as the guy and GB only more smoother since solgryn knows more about multimediafusion 2 so it shouldt be that big of a problem:P hope to see boshy compatible soon want to rape the game same way it did to me during al those hours of gameplay

A game not being on the compatibility list doesn't mean it's not compatible. I've found quite a few working games that aren't on the list yet, and given that IWBTG itself works, and has been fully TASed, it's quite possible that fangames will work as well.
that might be true but the first game i tried running was boshy and it didt sayt like the circle near the arrow that indicates its loading something while with iwbtg it did and waited around 10mins and it didt popped up hope to see this game in the emulator:P

1) Save a state a short time before where you want to work on your movie. 2) Open movie as 'read-only' 3) Load state from step 1 and play movie until the point where you want to start working 4) Save state, change to 'read/write' mode, then load state 5) Enjoy TASing without watching your 2 hour movie.
sounds easy if you think of it haha thanks alot:) this wil make me alot more focussed on the tas then watching it alot:P

ok so my issue is VBA RR doesnt has the search frame function like Snes9x RR has which is kinda anoying to think of it since im doing mmbn6 which at a point can easely go up to 2 hours so if i want to continue my TAS i can but it takes 2 hours to get to that point so if anyone knows how to activate this function or anything that would be great PS: saying use speed button is not a option causes desynch would be great if anyone can help me

Best of luck! If you want to submit a TAS on this site, I strongly suggest posting it first for others to see and suggest feedback. Lag frames are, broadly speaking, frames in which "nothing" happens. Music and sound effects play, but nothing moves in the game and all input is ignored. They happen because too much is going on for the system to process everything in time for the next display frame. For some games, managing lag can be an important part of fast play -- the player has to choose his actions so as little lag as possible occurs. This can involve avoiding big explosions, killing enemies before they come on screen, and all sorts of other things.
yeah i might submit my TAS when its completed but i dont know if TASvideos accepts an movie file of a hacked game like mmbn6 darkcross patch im gonna put it on Youtube in full lenght thats no issue:P ah so thats how lag frames work so thats why at some points my input doesnt get recognized is only 1 in a milion but it always happens at that spot might be thats the lag frame event oh yeah another question you know how to skip to frame like the snes9x has? im sick of seeing the parts of my TAS al the time:P and i cant speedup which causes desynch

You should be able to press all buttons at once. Your computer keyboard probably isn't able to do this, but the emulator has various ways around that (e.g. setting auto-hold or binding multiple input buttons to the same key). Most games will notice a button has been pressed on the same frame that it is pressed. If you want to turbo-fire a button in such games, then you need to alternate pressing and not pressing the button on every other frame. You may see people talking about "30Hz autofire" -- that's what this is. "30Hz" means "30 times per second", i.e. the game recognizes that the button has gone from not-pressed to pressed 30 times each second (because the game has an update rate of 60 frames per second). Sometimes you get lag frames in which input isn't processed. And some games don't even accept input on all non-lag frames. I suspect you'll be fine for MMBN though.
thanks at first i didt understand the lag frame but as i understand is that the lag frame disables the buttons pressed at that lag frame and i never play with keyboard always with controller so thats pretty handy the auto fire is handy at some games that needs this like dragonball Z buu's fury at the end you need a pretty damned good trigger finger if you want to beat that game at the end only haha i got a good trigger finger but i couldt do it so that sucked but im hoping to finish mmbn6 fast enough my non tas record atm with skipping cut scenes and with luck manipulation by reloading an save file i got to 12 hours and it wasnt fully optimized with this i can then making also the chip changement very fast and wil look like non existence(sorry for my english sometimes:P)

ok so i dont have any experience with frame advance but i was wondering and tried on megaman battle network 6 darkcross patch to see the real power of it and tried it during chip changement it went super fast and most games depend on random number generator which might be handy with frame advance i know that you pro's at TASing already know this but since im stil a noob at this and didt started til a while ago and only used it for SMW hacks now im making mmbn6 darkcross patch TAS full game and its coming out pretty good and i think with frame advance i can manipulate everything from begin chips of battle to chip changements if anyone can help me on howmuch buttons i can press each frame that would be great:) or howmany frames it takes to input 1 button

hello al ive made an super mario world kaizo 2 TAS and i used the inbuild AVI recorder of the snes9x and at the same time play the movie i made my problem it keeps giving soundlag of at least 2 or 3 seconds between events my question is there any way possible to record it al withoud soundlag maybe its the compression i use microsoft video 1 i think i run my laptop under windows vista SP2 sorry i dont know the extra's etc but i tried mainly every compression program under that list but it keeps desynching some sayt its windows movie maker since the AVI files are rather big but this time it gave 2 or 3 sec lag with watching the AVI directly back instead of first doing it into movie maker i hope anyone knows a way to fix this withoud switching versions because between versions i cant play the movie i made for my TAS

There were some old hacks from the original VBA that made the emulator recognize fastforward, screen snapshot and Gameshark toggle as GBA button input. It is possible to recognize some more emulator commands like load/save states as button input, too. But hacking is not a good way. There should be other applications that can do what JoyToKey does. Test your luck with google.
that where you can config fast forward snapshot and gameshark are under controller config so thats not the prob and i tried searching on google for a way to get my L2/R2 into save/load state but google didt sayt any result that would help me in anyway:(

Go to Config > Controls > Configure Controls. In the lower right corner of the window, there should be a box saying "Allow L+R/U+D". Tick that one and you should be good.
