I've looked around a bit on my phone. Wow it's actually usable on mobile! Sadly, there's some issues: The "Newest Submissions" table on the home page is too wide, which causes horizontal scrolling. You can zoom out a bit to remove that scroll, but then it looks like this: https://snipboard.io/MCjSZu.jpg This leads me to these tables as well. They're absurdly terrible for mobile. If they stay, they need to have 3 columns at most, combining values with line breaks or just showing less information. https://snipboard.io/MhIi9d.jpg In general, the mobile page should show less information by default, hiding the rest via some interaction. We also have the pages with some list of publications. These are looking great, but needs some tweaks for visibility and hiding details. https://snipboard.io/EbnONw.jpg The obsoletes entry needs some contrast from the rest of the publication text. A differently colored background? I also argue it could show up at the end of the publication text, not before. You need to care about the movie before you care what's the old time. The download links need to be hidden behind some menu action, something like a download button. Combine with the History button for a "more" menu, so it doesn't get a second row of buttons. The date the movie was published could also go somewhere else, next to the tags/emulator used. And please add a "Published at:" or similar so one can know it's the publication date. Lastly, some way of indicating the date is formatted as MM/DD/YYYY. I forgot it could've been this ~snip~ format and had to look for another movie to confirm. The publication boxes could also use a max-height cutoff where some sort of "Show more..." is visible, you touch it and the box extends to the full height. Otherwise navigating pages like GameCube Stars you spend a lot of time scrolling past the really long boxes. My phone is tall but every single movie box is taller than my screen, some going to even 2 times the screen size (Ikaruga). https://snipboard.io/hUJb3w.jpg The feature publication box in the home screen having it's own scrolling is terrible for navigation: you're scrolling the main page and then suddenly you're scrolling the publication box. If we apply the same max-height cut-off as above here, I'd say we don't need this separated scrolling anymore. As a bonus report: https://snipboard.io/GJZF8Y.jpg Aria of Sorrow screenshot was small enough that some text fits to the right, but it couldn't fit "attempted" so then it broke to below it. Please no text to the right. Forum: Main board list looks good. The boards that don't have a description looks weird and a bit too close to the next item, but could easily be solved by ensuring all boards have a description. Topic list is bad: https://snipboard.io/76tgQd.jpg The first column for icons should just not be a column and the icon should be next to the name. One column each for replies, author and last post (offscreen, via horizontal scrolling) wastes space that the topic name needs. For comparsion, here's discourse on mobile (https://snipboard.io/8iwlgy.jpg) and desktop (https://snipboard.io/XErGsD.jpg).

- I like having a system where anyone can upload anything in any category for any game similar to speedrun.com. I'd obviously prefer a few changes compared to how speedrun.com handles things and I'm not interested in a clone of the site but the general principle of anyone being able to upload something appeals to me greatly, as does the freedom to have more categories than we do now for our heavily curated runs. - I'm in favor of more freedom in the types of content we host. There's an entire category of differently-abled speedrunners who are using tools to assist their speedruns who can't post their results on any of the mainstream speedrunning sites. We don't let them on here either because it isn't perfect and therefore falls short of the glorious standard of the site. I'd like to inclusively welcome them in with tags that allow their content to be categorized appropriately. We've lost some of the essence of what made us unique back in the early days of Tool-assisted superplay movies and I want to see us welcome that somehow. I'm in favor of allowing more experimental content types. There's someone currently working on a very different way of "tool-assisted" gameplay that relies on virtual intelligence, like MarI/O on steroids but with a lot more human crafting around it. There's no place for that kind of content here right now and there really ought to be.
Being more accepting of LOTADs would be pretty interesting, there's many people that spend some time making TASes of long games, but don't make the extremely high time commitment of making a fully optimized one. For example, MaskedTAS made TASes of 15 different categories of Metroid Prime 2.[/url]

For Light Beam before Dark Beam, I imagine you'd wallcrawl to Feeding Pit, using that to enter Ing Cache 1. Is it possible to stay OOB even after collecting Light Beam? Because otherwise I don't see a way for you to reach Dark Oasis.

A nice surprise doesn't need to be a ACE payload: a new TAS for a game, especially if it has new tech would be really nice. Combining with the TAS author being there, if possible.

I'd like to point out that the term serious game exists in the game industry and means roughly what is being defined as "non-serious" here. Oops! You can see the extensive references on that page, and I can personally vouch for seeing the term being used to describe companies that work in "serious games" as opposite to my own that focus on entertainment.

The difference in Sigma 2! Too bad the mavericks are too slow otherwise =[ Gate 1 and Gate 2 are both lost causes as well, right?

It looks a bit weird. It clearly heavily uses 3D CGI, but it also seems to use a form of animation that looks hand-drawn in the classical cartoon style. It would be interesting to know if it's indeed hand-drawn, or if it's some kind of advanced Flash graphics editing.
From what I've heard, they've redone everything with https://www.toonboom.com/products/harmony

Yay Digimon Rumble Arena! And this TAS is boring as expected. To the vaults! At least you had an early input end.

Nice skips, and Zero gets used for more than killing him for his saber! I've got a screenshot suggestion as well: at around 15:45. You (normally) have no reason to go to that chip capsule in a 100% run :)

Reseting the game during a save and then abusing an error in the save file loading routines is acceptable, but entering an invalid password and abusing an error in the password validation routines is not? This seems much more reasonable than [2059] SNES Mega Man X "password glitch" by FractalFusion in 16:56.88.

I've never written a lua script for emulators before, but I do have experience with lua scripts and have read many scripts shared on these forums. This seems a perfect use-case what is usually implemented with lua scripting. Normally you create wrappers using the lua c api and then export these wrappers to the lua scripts. If you need luajit, it shouldn't be too hard to change. And I think you will get more bizhawk support if you post of the bizhawk category.

Personally, I'm having issues with the hardware requirements for the PC version. Sure, I'm using Intel HD Graphics 520, but it can run Diablo 3 at 60 fps. As for the game itself, I find it okay overall. Meh for graphics, ugh for cutscenes (at least they're shippable), fine for platforming (except I'm raging at dying at spikes after being knocked over to them) and dunno for bosses. For more certain subjectivity: I had more fun with Azure Striker Gunvolt.
