http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/30597723061982750 This improves the previous WIP over 2 seconds or something due to spindash abuse. Currently figuring out how to optimize the damage knockback from enemies in the next section.

Link to video This is the glitch where I mentioned this image: Here's an input file where the glitch is performed on DeSmuME: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/30197858251727937 Yeah, I think this is an emulation bug, but I'm still not sure.

I made the Game Resources page for the game. It includes more info than the first post. Maybe I should make the TAS on Kids difficulty instead of Adults, since you can get the Slide Kick earlier that way (by farming enough V-Coins, of course).

This is a game I've been interested for quite a while. I have made a significant amount of research already, so expect a pretty packed game resources page in the following days (i hope). For some of the movement basics, here's some few things I found: -Joe runs very slowly at the beggining, but with some specific D-pad inputs on specific frames, he'll move noticealbly faster than just holding the D-pad. -You can buy a sliding move that moves Joe faster, but loses momentum after it's performed once. You can avoid this by throwing a punch, and then slide again. I'm still not sure how faster this is. -You can pretty much do punches and kicks infinitely, by doing an uppercut and then repeating your combo again. I'm still not in a good mood to make this yet (im also a little busy too), but hopefully, I'll get into this game eventually.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T16KoDhaEgg This is a testrun of the 1st level I did myself. As you can probably tell, It's much more optimized than yours, and it looks more tool-assisted than yours as well. I hope this doesn't discourage you, but I did this as a guide so you can improve it yourself, try finding as much improvements as you can, because I know for a fact that theres a bunch of timesavers here. Hopefully you'll do a good job at finishing this and making a publish-worthy movie! :P

this is probably my new favorite softlock: Link to video As a sidenote, there's another glitch in Mission 7 where on the room before the ladder in the corn maze, while doing the original TAS, I used the white puffle on the river and somehow I managed to click on Rookie while the puffle was making the bridge. After doing that... DeSmuME of all things crashed. I have no idea why this happened or how, but it was very interesting somehow.

[3117] SNES Donkey Kong Country by Tompa in 07:50.08 has been updated. It's higher quality and it has much lighter filesize. Old: New:

here's the 1st area of 6: Link to video Input: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/30065294345135515 I ended up choosing Jack o' Lantern, because he deals more damage than Jack Frost, and Jack the Ripper Skelton has terrible range in his attacks, hell, he doesn't even shoot, and even then, his special move animation is slower. So, I wasn't able to get a speed potion thingy on Floor 1 for some reason, the slimes didn't feel like giving me anything useful, such bastards. Floor 2 was much more smooth, since the Goblin's item drop RNG gave me a speed potion. Floor 3 was the boss. I kill her in 2 special hits. Unfortunately, my stars don't replenish after I enter a new area, so RNG manipulation from this point onwards is going to be a pain. Hopefully it will all go well from here.

Is there a way to change the palette for VBjin? Because I'm a little bit annoyed by the pinkish color, and I have no idea where to change it to greyscale/monochrome. I heard something about it being possible but I don't know if that's true... Help!

Can somebody please tell me a bit more the rulesets around sports games and how some of them can be vaulted? Because I'm still very confused... and kind of sad.

After knowing Nester wasn't eligible for vault, this is the only VB game worth TASing I can think of. This game is a topdown shooter, a spinoff title from the Megami Tensei series, and the first one to be localized in the US. I think a TAS of this game could work pretty well, so I'm picking this up. Currently I'm testing various things before I get into TASing this. Here's hoping it will go well.
