http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/27867245427785037 I did a test run, 1st boss in the game done quick. A lot of stuff happens in the fight. Basically you can hit the boss in the first few seconds of the fight, then by getting hit, you can hit the robot again and ride above her head at your invincibility frames and hit her a third time. After that I walk away from the boss until I do more regular hits while walking above her head again. Also, you can softlock the boss fight by standing above her head for too long. EDIT: a very delayed encode Link to video

Shouldn't this thread be moved to general or something? It's in topic, isn't it?

Giving it a No. Don't get me wrong, it was very entertaining. I just think the goal choice is a bit too arbitrary.

The weird part is that RTA runners use the Wii version instead of the DS version... I wonder why...

A slow paced platform game featuring one of my childhood cartoon characters. I made a short WIP like a week ago but forgot to post it: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/27442097517879725 Comments about the WIP are welcome.

I'm not willing to re-do the entire movie from scratch, it was just an observation, not a request or anything of the sort. Although if I'm allowed to edit the movie for those frames, I will, otherwise... no.

The one thing that bugs me is that Tompa says getting 99 lives wastes time, but the run wastes 27 frames for speed/entertainment tradeoffs anyways... why not saving those 27 frames to make the run even faster then if getting 99 lives was avoided anyway?

Redoing the whole tas is big enough. I don't think people will have any issue if you pass on too hard RNG manipulation. Many runs have been submitted with a good but not stellar RNG manipulation.
Seconded. What concerns me though is the possible desyncs in the final movie, meaning it can't be submitted... hopefully that's not the case here.

Is the "Run" category really necessary? Anyway, not really all that entertaining, but very well optimized as usual from you. Meh vote.

How are you using the analogue controls? Last time I checked, they didn't worked properly, both in BizHawk and Mupen.

I managed to save 9 7 frames in the intro by selecting some stuff faster! Now I'll try to improve the fighting as well. Dekutony, let's to co-op on this?
Um... sure, why not. I really have nothing better to do so I guess that's allright. One question though, what did you do different on the first fight which saved that many frames?

Anyway, as for what movie I would like to see a moon upgrade, that could be Fester's Quest, Flashback and Over the Hedge "any%", those look solid enough runs, at least for me.
