@8:00 Well so far this looks like a relatively normal OoT run... @8:33 Nevermind. @16:50 Even more nevermind. @25 Wrongwarp still works?! How good was Dolphin's Wii support back in 2011 when it got its first TAS? Even today Dolphin's TASablility is less than idea. I'm surprised 3DS beat PSP to TASing since PPSSPP advanced so quickly.

Actual gameplay starts at 7 mins in. As for the passwords: What do RTA runners do? If it's allowed there, it should be here since TAS should aim to surpass human runs. Otherwise, I feel this is the kind of game where it's way, way too long and be 99% RNG manip without arbitrary passwords. I'm fine with it being made a branch ("Arbitrary Demon Passwords").

Wily Tower/Wily Wars only content starts at 1:34:38.
This collection known for being slower compared to the NES versions in both terms of gameplay pace and the amount of lag present in many places.
The "Collectors Edition" reprint (which is currently stuck in shipping) supposedly reduces the lag. Assuming this is true and the "bug fixes" it also has don't cost more time, would a version ran on that version obsolete this one?

Can a subpage that enables darkmode and redirects to the front page with dark mode on be created? It would be helpful for users that clear cookies regularly.

Light mode flashes during page load before dark mode is applied. That's terrible. Also would it be possible to make a subpage that redirects to the main page with dark enabled ( do tasvideos.org/d or the like)? It would be helpful for people that clear cookies regularly but want to start in dark mode.

Wow! That's fast! Absolute yes! It's impressive to see a collectathon, or any long game, cut down so much. By just Jiggy total it's 84% (50/60) reduced to only 10% completion (6/60), but all the other collectibles skipped would make it even lower. Are loading zones not active till levels are unlocked, or would it theoretically be possible to skip unlocking them?

Asthetics: Too much bright white! Background of featured TAS section, background of news and almost everything on the subpages are all pure white. White is used sparingly in the current site (just some text on the top bar and some selection fields that are only that way due to browser defaults), but the new site has big fields of pure white. Current grey and blue color scheme is nice (though it could be darker in this era of night mode). Lots of wasted space with center alignment. Functionality: Game resource sub-pages have lost all spacing ("SuperCastlevaniaIV"). Given they're already on their own sub-page, the sub-pages list for a console should be expanded by default. Search requiring a subpage/new page load instead of a bar is a functionality downgrade.

Is it correct that any improvement from here would require a new movement strat or wrong warp/ACE, neither of which look to possible?

Like the announcer says at the end, "Wow! Incredible!". This is a great playaround TAS.

Enjoyed the video. Looking at the final score, I'm curious if it's even possible to legitimately get a high enough score to make the first digit of the final score count non-zero.

Is this speed buildup enough to enter parallel universes? Even if TAS only, it's interesting to see a useful major glitch found in SMS. Wonder what else it can do.

Seems fine so far, but a bit on the boring side like most jRPG speedruns. The OoB skips are nice though. How much would an "All Djinn" or "Perfect Password" (All Djinn plus the three triggers for the link events, plus all psynergy items needed for 100% completion of sequel) differ?

I think if you're looking for a long run that can't be beaten, you'll most likely find it in the vault. I think it would more likely be something simple (and thus trivial to optimize) but also long and boring rather than a game that has been heavily optimized over many iterations. Edit: GB Boxxle is the longest video on the site that isn't a complex jRPG, and the notes mention there's no known improvements and is fairly confident there's no possible ones.

And here I thought Link to the Past was the most broken result of left+right input out there.

This run should have the "Unofficial Game" tag. Runs 2252, 3138, 3555, 5016, and 6641 establish that leaked prototypes for what would have been licensed games if they were ever released fall into that category.

I can't find footage of this, but it's listed on GameFAQs's cheat section for SC2 GC.
In the pal version of the game, choose 60Hz option, then, when the "data loaded" screen appears quickly reset your sistem and then choose the 50Hz option. Game will now run superfast.
Would make for an interesting tas.

Baten Kaitos 99% (obtain everything but magnus that can only be obtained by aging other magnus, get Shampoo as soon as possible and minimize menu time that doesn't count towards aging) seems arbitrary, but is functionally identical to 100% just minus a week long wait at the end. According to GameFAQs the PAL version of Soul Calibur 2 has lets you glitch the PAL 60 option for super fast gameplay. I can't find any footage for this, but if true and Dolphin can accurately replicate it, it should be some fun TASing. Also Charade (who randomly uses a different character's moveset every fight) exists. While he needs to be unlocked, he would be prime choice for a playaround TAS.

Is this the newest game with an ACE exploit? Edit: Excluding things that require some externally generated file to be added to the system (most of the famous console modding exploits like Twilight Princess, Cubic Ninja ect.)

Neat. Any PSP games that have tricks considered TAS only (beyond luck manip)?

Briefly wondered why a TAS of an alternate character was done before the main game. Keyword being briefly. Reminds me of Albus mode TAS with even crazier movement (but sadly, no repeated but accurate "you can't touch me"). In this TAS, the fastest human in the Marvel universe isn't Robert Frank, Pietro Maximoff, James Sanders, Julie Power, or Jean-Paul Beaubier, but Harry Osborn. It's a shame the loading tip at 20:51 is followed by an auto-scroller.

It's cosmic counter balance to the fact that the Catwoman movie not only exists, but has a licensed game.

Some legal commentators have suggested this is a lawsuit waiting to happen for YouTube with the way they disqualify videos they deem "unsuitable" for ads: You can't tell someone nobody will place ads on their demonetized video so they won't get a cut AND run ads anyways. The only thing in the way is that it requires someone willing to throw out their relationship with YouTube (so it will be someone who already got banned by YouTube) and Google's money allowing them to throw lawyers at it.

Beyond bot-assisted first turn Exodia on everything, I'm aware of one notable missing optimization for this run: The first duel runner segment (51:36) doesn't actually need to be completed, and can be skipped by reducing your health to zero. This would save 30+ seconds depending on how quick you can crash.

With tool assisted superplay, you'd never know Brawl was so slow. The author's notes are pretty extensive. With the run's length and many being stage specific, perhaps there should be a commentary "subtitles" track based on them for the final encode?

Feels weird seeing a GBA Metroidvania that's only kinda broken.
