I meant in the objectives list alongside "takes damage".

Question: Why is this not tagged "2 players"? Otherwise solid yes, just don't watch in full screen, the flashes hurt my eyes.

When can we expect to see a (relatively) glitchless run?
Compare to glitchless PoR run, I prefer a "no glitch-warp" 100% soul CoS run. That will be more enjoyable.
For DoS, I'd prefer a Julius mode run. The run improves the previous run in both time and Jonasan/Sharotto content. Thus yes.

Mario Golf: Advance Tour seems like it would benefit a LOT from even just basic trial and error savestate use to pull off impossible shots, it isn't too long (I can beat singles in a few hours unassisted and thats going for everything/talking to everyone and making no effort to be quick). Doubles would be tricker (Neil is terrible at golf unless you are in a sandtrap, then he is a savant)

What exception is made for Rygar and why?

Doesn't the RNG FAQ on Gamefaqs have that info? Pretty sure it does for regular hits. I have to say I'd love to see a 200% double run at some point.

So the programmers relied on a quirk that only existed in the very first Game Boy Advance model for the game to run correctly there?
In case it wasn't clear from the script and gameplay, BN4 didn't have a lot of effort put into it (and somehow it sold the best...)

http://tasvideos.org/ExamplesOfBadGameChoices.html It is listed for "Metal Gear Solid (play the PSX version instead) " The GBC "Metal Gear Solid" is only titled that in the west (It is known as "Metal Gear: Ghost Babel" in Japan). It is a completely separate game (bar some of the VR missions) from the PSX "Metal Gear Solid". There may or may not be reasons that still make it a bad choice of game, but the reason it is included is in error.

I'm shocked neither version of Four Swords has been TASed yet, given the love for co-op runs. The GCN version may have screen size issues (you need 5 screens on screen) as an issue over strict TASablity.

I thought it was the point to be quicker? Like I said in the first post, the run would start clean, with getting the save data as part of the run itself.

There are some games with bonuses for merely having a save of another game on the memory card. Would it be permitted (this is purely hypothetical) for a run to start with a (virtual) clean card, play game B (which is NOT the game being ran) until a save point, save, turn off and reset with the same (virtual) card inserted and start game A (which is the objective of the run) and start a new game with the bonuses? The time spent on game B would be included in the run time. Granted, all the games I know of that include such bonuses have them be stupidly minor, but worth an asking. Again, purely hypothetical. 2 subquestions as well 1:There are some DS games that give bonuses merely for having the GBA game in the slot, even if the GBA game is completely clean. Is using these allowed? 2:Some games allow much greater depth to importing, being meant to play back to back to some degree, would a "two game" run (running both games back to back) be allowed? This one actually does have an example game (Golden Sun 1+2 all Djinn run) I can say (though again, hypothetical question, not making any runs)

How about 2 versions of the youtube video are submited, one real time and one that speeds up the non-gameplay?

I think this game would be a neat TAS speed run choice (preferably a 100% run, as just the main quest would be very empty and reduce the interesting of the run) despite the number of cut-scenes (all fairly short, but unskipable), as super human time management would reduce total game time a lot. Things that would be usable Gambling with Peekoe would be very easy with quick saves and quickly let you get the 8080 Happy Points for the max battery, and get the money to buy everything too. This renders trash and stain cleanup pointless, and Chibi Doors only needed for the sticker. Spydorz can be forced to spawn at the basement if you save and reload after destroying them (they are right next to the save here) Trauma suit is obtained from dieing once (I think the Freedom Rangers are a good way to die early), and will let you warp back to the Chibi house quickly at no cost. Carrying the plug instead of dragging it makes Chibi go much quicker.

Quick peak at GCN collection next to me. A 4 player Tales of Symphonia run could work, though the cut-scene heaviness... MP battles were the most fun the game had. Eh option Timesplitters 2 and 3 could work, though I don't recall obvious speed up tricks like strafe running in GE/PD. Good option. If you can find out how to work the RNG, Fire Emblem 9/10. Great option. Lost Kingdoms 2 has some neat options with the gimicky but very awesome stats of most cards. A large amount of the enemies can simply be run past. The fact that Tara starts limping more and more as she loses HP can present some intresting trades offs for damage vs time. Good Option Rogue Squadron 3 co-op, because multiplayer runs are always fun. Good option Gladius is awesome, but the animations can't be turned off, and either the load times are horrible, or it looks unauthentic. Ehh option If you can get the money grinding between fights/strength boosts/katana parts (HP is irrelevant most of time in TAS) for NMH and NMH2 out of the way (doing well in stages can make up the money) great option Baten Kaitos is too cut-scene heavy, even if you figure out how to work the luck heavy battles. bad option Chibi Robo is cut-scene heavy, but the open nature of the goals has promise. OK option. That's just off the top of my head and on the shelf/floor near by PC, the mini-cd holder (cases are in a box) has more games.

At this rate both our first GCN/Wii AND Windows runs will both be 8-bit Megaman games. Not that there is anything WRONG with that...

Perfect Dark had a co-op mode. Is it possible to use it to save time? Quick search says there are emulation issues behind it not being co-op alreddy, but how much and where would time be saved if the run was?
