MHS sounds like the thing you need.
Exactly what I was looking for, thanks. Now off to find hitstun and techtime memory values!

All console->pc pad adapters add a few frames of lag, I've tried a few and a simple google search brings up lots of fighter game forum threads with people having the same problem.

I also recommend spending the few extra $ that logitech usually costs over noname. I got 2 noname brand ps2 style controllers which both broke down in less than a year, the logitech is still going strong on it's 3rd.

Wow, impressive... was that real time? ...no... must've been the programable controllers again... Johnny rules, by the way. EDIT... Oh, look... there's a PC version already out! How come I missed this... Heaven or Hell... Let's Rock!
Yeah, programmable controllers and setups that will never ever happen in a real match = really impressive combos :)

While I've been playing qw/q3 (and mods. midair=lots and lots of fun :D) matches most of the time for friendly matches, I do think the UT series is way underestimated. UT99 movement is really impressive once you get away from the first shallow impression you get from it. A few years ago, I bought an ut2003 key on ebay for like $6 and I was very impressed. Even though most of the tricks are hardcoded (sidesteps and dashes etc), there's just so much you do with them.

I liked this hack alot. The thing I think it did better than Redesign (since someone else mentioned it) is that it had almost none of those "oops, you fell down a shaft/went through a one-way door/etc without savestating, have fun going through half of maridia again!". It's not a hard hack, but I liked the exploration part better than redesign.

No idea exactly what game that is, but that character is Terry Bogard from the King of fighters series of games. Edit: Since I'm apparently just as blind as Chamale From the game: 'SNK vs Capcom' for the Neo Geo Pocket Color from the bottom of the page :(

To: everyone I've been playing a lot of Guilty Gear XX^Core lately, and I'm not very good. I want to learn how to be an aggressive player who never lets up pressure and is always rushing towards the opponent. So far my best character is Ky, but since I have like 15 hours experience I could learn anyone easly enough. What characters are reccomended for this playstyle, and how should I learn it? (my playgroup consists of about 10 people divided into three tiers of skill and I'm at the bottom of the 2nd tier - I can beat 100% of the time all the casually interested people, I lose 100% of the time against all the tournament level people, and I can beat the middle people only when they make mistakes or choose characters that aren't their main characters).
I've been lurking forever and this is the first time I've felt that I can actually contribute something, so I registered :p I suggest you pick up normal Sol, he is similar to Ky to but has (imo) better and easier pressure. Gunflame FRC is really really good and not that hard to get down, his command throw has good range, is a great mixup tool and leads to good damage. Most basic combos are easy and do good damage, and when you are used to them you can start going for sidewinder combos which are harder but more damaging. Millia is very good for rushdown as well, but lots of her high damage combos are character specific. I really like most of the options she has but learning X variations for each b'n'b combo is just too annoying.
