@JXQ doing a flash kick at the same time as a throw in WW will cause all kinds of weird things to happen. It's game breaking and not imposable to do on accident

if you really need an encode you can use mine, but it's double the recommended bitrate http://www.filefront.com/17224011/sf2ranib.mkv This game was a pain to encode beacuse you have to manually make 6000 frame segments and it has a tendency to desync on the last two matches @VANDAL I did to a fighting game tas based solely on enemy manipulation but I guess it wasn't entertaining http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgHljXeSr_M

for the cat level the star triggers when you get the owner close to the cat, you can get her close enough pretty quickly in a vehicle We definitely need to explain what the goal of each level is but that would be done better in the submission text or subtitles, as all the inbetween level stuff is too long already.

ok here I did p1-3 to p1-6 http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/46694027/snauts3.dsm edit: it may seem like you can go faster in 1-3 by consistent moving and reequipping the vehicle like I do at the end but you can't actually go faster then the screen can scroll that, so as long as you don't do any unnecessary scrolling I don't think you're wasting time. The screen auto scrolls to the star so the closer you end to that position the better. in the submission we need to put, "sacrifices time for empanadas"

I'll do the next few, we should figure out what level takes the longest from last input to end and save that for last. I was impressed with the car section, those physics are tough.

it would certainly have him getting beat up. There is no bigger Dan fan then me, but unless you want an hour of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6esKyAKhXM he's probably not the best choice

I'm not very familliar about psx emulation on mame, but can you load games that are'nt in the mame "database"?
the psx version is just a port of the arcade version. The arcade it runs on is basically just a supped up ps1 ( Sony ZN-2 ). It looks like the mame version doesn't have the unavoidable hit glitch and has less slowdown ( due to the arcades much higher ram ), but it does freeze at random times, I don't what's causing it to freeze but hopefully it doesn't happen in the tas.

oh wow I wasn't expecting this. Thanks mz. I guess I'll go see how imperfect the strider 2 emulation is, it's got to be better then the ps1 version

Yes, but don't the rules say that you must start from a clean starting point?
You shouldn't do it unless there is a good reason but like all rules they can be broken for the sake of entertainment. If arukAdo decides the run is better without a clean memory card I'm inclined to agree with him.

It's so he can skip the cutscenes, and possibly use the luck code/buy the duplicator.

vote yes due to subtitles. I think this run would be unwatchable without them, but with them it puts it a step above some already published rpgs

the wiki says the enemy will be teleported but you will become unengulfed and say in the same place. I'm wondering if you can teleport rocks to the Astral plane to get stuck in wall, or can you not levelport objects to no teleport levels

I'm for this run being published but I'm inclined to put it in a different category

oh, whops Wiki says self teleportation doesn't work but you can still teleport items and monsters. Is there any situation that might trick a monster into trying to teleport you? I'm guessing not

for horizontal movement wouldn't Teleportitis and insane luck be the quickest?

Norimaro, a joke character made by Noritake Kinashi that's only in the Jappenese version. He really sucks but has a lot of potential for zaniness. His s.hk for example he slips on a banana peal and the peel can make ether character fall down. It can really be abused with kara and suki canceling.

that's really bad, that's not quick or interesting I don't want to just want to tell you it sucks without being productive tho so I did a match to show you the kind of thing it's missing http://www.filefront.com/17120793/mshvsfj.fbm u2b http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFER4q5z29M

regardless of minor technical squabbles it seems like the place to start would be determining the rout for a least turn run. Then figuring out how the chosen run should change from that

I don't see how that changes anything, no game processes things biased on video frames it's just what is used for timing purposes because it's easy to do and consistent. Why should nethack be timed differently then Azure Dreams? http://tasvideos.org/2256S.html

I would think counting by the least frames makes the most sense because it's easy to do and it's how all the other runs on this site are done. Saying you should time it by something else like number of inputs seems silly to me because there is already an established timing method

Not too impressed gets a yes from me anyway because I liked the lv5 ball stage One thing I tried with mine was to have a theme for each round, that way I have a game plan and I'm not just reacting and doing Bnbs all the time, but it also helps the viewer follow what was happening and keep interest. double impact might have been a better game because the game has a looser juggle system But yah fighting games are hard to tas
