I think this run started about two years ago, I'm glad to see there is still progress, can't wait.

this game deserves a run like the xmvssf, because beating characters for one arcade run neats the character even if you're playing some other char after losing.
go ahead, it will probably obsolete the xmvssf run too

at some point someone changed the name of the game here http://tasvideos.org/1300M.html to the wrong name. This game is "street fighter zero 2 alpha". "street fighter zero 2" is a different game. any chance this might be fixed?

yes I love this game, and this run is a lot better if you know how the puzzles are supposed to be solved.

Sorry to necro this but I thought you guys would be interested in seeing that the Japanese version of the game has a pretty entertaining WIP for puzzle mode http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm16129010 Note that this uses SRAM to skip the tutorial.
necroed again then. Not very optimized, but this game is really hard to optimize. Interesting that a Japanese run of the game, that did it for speed would use completely different strategies, beacuse the words have a different number of characters.

This is from a different (but related) game, but it is one of my favorite examples of tool-assisted superplay: Full of action and entertaining situations (though one has to watch it several times to see everything that's happening). I would like to see a TAS here create similar situations at a similar tempo.
You can't really do something like that without editing. And I can tell you magnetro spent a lot of time editing it.

combing is actually physically imposable in sf1. Going to watch the video now, I can tell you the quickest way to kill someone is with a single dragon punch that they get hit with three times.

this is a really well done run, but I don't think a 70 star run shows anything that a 120 star run doesn't already show. Really think it should just be any% and 100% That said this run is better then the current 120 star run so idk. gets a meh I guess

wow I wasn't expecting such a huge improvement. It seems like this could still be improved more, you had extra letters in the things you wish you could stop doing part.

Don't let the rerecord count fool you; it took alot of time to do this. :P
Yeah random mode is normally unbeatable, it's just misleading calling it glitched as a path

Hey. No promoting piracy now.
It's not promoting piracy. He probably owns the game. He just hacked it.
The hacked save lets you load anything on to the wii, ie you can load pirated stuff. So telling people how to do it would effectively be telling them how to pirate a wii.

This isn't really a glitch. The game has a random mode where everything on the screen is placed at random, and this one just has the end close by.

The game never ends until you die, so I choosed to die after I defeated Deng Xiaoping.
pretty sure the game ends when you kill all 1.2 billion of the red communists

I know TAS runs are supposed to be fast, but will a player be able to "watch" this run?
Take a look at the wip encodes, one of them pauses every time something happens. It's watchable. Also just a text file of the run is very readable. But yeah at normal speeds it's to quick to make out anything, though perhaps not a quick as you'd think

Question: Why is this not tagged "2 players"?
That's basically what Dramatic Battle means. two-on-one

seems like there have been some in the queue a long time when there were encoding issues. Not sure what has been in the longest. This might end up being the longest without being judged.
