I stopeed watching it because I didn't enjoy the game, but it should be noted that a published movie of the European version has been published, and this movie is significantly faster.

When your shots hit the boss and bounce off, those are misses. You have a lot of those against the green elephant-thingy and the floating heart with hands and feet.

To each his own, I say, If we start mocking the "normal" speedruns, we're no better than the assholes who call us "cheaters." Declaring that games are somehow "meant" to be played in a certain way is illogical.

".fr" is a Final Burn Alpha recording file. You need to find the ROM (don't ask), run the game in FBA, then choose "Replay Input." For some reason, FBA pauses the game when the movie ends, so you have to press Pause to watch the ending.
I dug this, although there are quite a few missed shots (a time attack no-no).

Using select to pause the game only worked in Rockman/Mega Man 1. I don't know if they removed it because of the bug or not, but by the time part 2 was released it's not there anymore.
Anyway, Omega, I enjoyed your movie even though I was disappointed that you did not exploit any bugs. Seeing as how this is segmented and therefore ineligible for TG anyway, why not exploit bugs to increase speed?
I was happy to see you use the Heat Man weapon, although I should point out that a level three Heat Man blast might save time against the first form of Dr. Wily. It completely destroys his shield.
Also, is there any particular reason you skipped the small weapon-refills in Wily stage but then collected a big one later? I can't think of which level that was right now.

Isn't there a way to "save" the track? Wouldn't that allow you create a track, save it, then record from reset and race on that track? I know I'm speaking about something I did 20 years ago, but it seems like a vivid memory in my head.
Anyway, I voted YES because this game is cool. Please give us more.
And who is DeHackEd?

Absolutely. I voted "no" on that one. This one I voted "yes" for, but only after several versions were created. Also, as I stated earlier, I think the appeal of Shinobi is enduring, even if this game sucks. It's like an Ed Wood time attack.

I haven't played this game or watched this movie. Why are so many people making movies for a game which everybody obviously thinks is crap? I mean, there are good genesis Shinobi games which still haven't got any published runs...
It seems a nostalgic fondness for the original Shinobi is overriding the crappiness of this NES translation. I suppose if there was a Genesis version we would flock to it, but there's not.
Trust me, I can't wait for hot run on Revenge of Shinobi.

He took hits in places where it would take longer to dodge the enemies. At least that was my perception. Quite a nice performance really. I'm forced to watch it with the sound off though. Not because I have a technical problem, but because I can't stand the lazy-bastard music they slapped on this translation.
Shinobi had good music, dammit!

The only reservation I have is in stage 4. You grab the boat, cruise upstream a while, blow some shit up, but then you get out of the boat on the right side of the screen before crossing a bridge to get to the left side of the screen. Why not get out of the boat on the left side of the screen?

Not to beat a dead horse, but I have clear memories of the alien from my childhood. It kinda freaked me out and it took a while to figure out how to kill it.
The real question here is what do you remember being the final boss, if not the alien?

The dolls/hostages/white things can be skipped in this crap version, so they should be. Same for the bonus stages. Speed is imperative for games that are as unwatchable as this one is.

I could only muster a Meh. No disrespect to you, Frenom, but this game makes me nauseous. Please, don't blame Sega, blame Tengen. And that's Marilyn Monroe in stage 1-2, not Madonna.

This game is unwatchable. Perhaps the laziest translation of an arcade game ever. Tengen strikes again! I thought I wouldn't see a cheaper game than their NES version of Rolling Thunder, but I was wrong.
