What resolution were downloadables at? Last time I was using native and it was stretched by the player. It worked (since I was a senior pubisher), but it's possible to reduce the size by using ctr22 without quality loss. You can still do the HQs.

How the hell is Riddick Bowe Boxing a moon tier?
Read that thread and see the absurd level of support towards its fantastic entertainment value. Then see how they were asked to actually prove that support with ratings. See how they suddenly stopped giving a fuck about their own ridiculous support hype. Go WTF. This is exactly why I'm adding a note about moving something between tiers for borderline cases. I wonder how fun will shitload be if I accepted it to Vault listening to my instincts (add here possibility to reject something uncertain, and things get way hotter). As I said, each time I accepted something uncertain to Vault, there were always people mad about it.

feos looks at #3795: Samsara's NES Moon Crystal in 08:35.12 votes. feos looks at #3795: Samsara's NES Moon Crystal in 08:35.12 judgment note. feos does the same all the time. others do the opposite, get complained about it, and it's still officially more legit. feos fails to understand how that fucking instinct is supposed to work.

I PM'd him (her?) to use the new one from the updated submission.

So far ratings show turska's decision was "wrong".

The opposite is now suddenly impossible. If it's vaulted by a judge, there is no way on earth to moon it afterwards. Because judge's decisions in borderline cases are always "right" (from what I'm getting on IRC right now).

Oh, yes. Except that I don't know how most of the games must actually behave. So even if I see a bug, I won't recognize it, since it'd require playing the same games on hardware as well. I personally think that all the bugs that are possibly there (so far I saw none of the bugs from PCSX core) can be tolerated after all the real benefits that are there already. And testing is up to users afterwards, so that people not meeting bugs could start enjoying it.

Judging by turska's logic, it is totally impossible to improve a Vault run so much that the new one will go to Moons. Don't we still see the flaws of it?

The problem that I have with vaulting something is that it ends up hidden, and so it is less likely to get voted on. Also, vaulting a movie that is rated as a 6 is rather harsh; it hides too many decent runs. I suppose there is also an aspect of "The TASer wasted time making this" element to the vault category.
I love your way of thinking!

I wonder if the voting question should be changed to "Should this movie be published" and the movie voting system added in as a separate "question" to help gauge the entertainment level. This would help get more movie voting, and it would also separate the automatic "improvement so yes" from the entertainment voting. This would also give a better indication for the tier placement if published. I also wonder if the tier placement affects how people vote on the movie.
A fews teps in that direction were done by Nach, but he didn't get enough feedback from staff members, so I assume he just should apply it for real and then tweak it by people's common will.

And my question? I want to do something that can help with it. I'm not exactly a layperson, as I can understand code if needed, but what can I do?

No, thank you. We won't be doing this, or anything like this. Instead we'll be using mednafen which probably doesn't have that bug, and fixing the bug if it exists.
What can a layperson do to help getting mednafenhawk? From what I've just seen in it, it's awesome. Yes, the Abe bug doesn't exist there.

I absolutely disagree with vaulting this. Feedback is nearly perfect, votes are nearly perfect. You say they are off because of the factors that you are unable to detect with certainty. What if it's not so? What if people actually answered the question and did like the run? You say, no they didn't, they were mistaken in the posts and votes. Then why the heck do we have them for, if they can be so arbitrarily ignored by judge's will? Borderline cases are serious business (Vault something poorly received until it gets good ratings, Moon something unclear until it's rated poorly, and then switch tiers with proof), but this one is in no way a borderline case!

What GPU plugin was PShawk going to use anyway? Is it possible to grab the picture from the one that isn't written to send it?

The point was being able to anti-alias psxjin tases. All the rest of your post makes little sense to me (still). But I'm not adding a feature that was deliberately nuked out by the authors.

I honestly don't understand. Are they going to switch plugins for certain areas only? If not, there's always a regular build. Also, if they want quality, let them play the damn thing in PCSX :D Am I still missing something?

Oh, ability to switch plugins? Nah, I replaced all callbacks, and I'm not a coding pro to do things right, when dealing with dll interface and stuff, since it's no longer dll in PSXjin. I don't see problems with just using 2 executionals.
