Input display may be some additional panel. Building it right into controller sounds like an overload. As for the panel, if it has a point-based display of one color, it could be drawn at like we draw with lua (snes9x does it perfectly as well): P1: ABsSLRUD P2: ABsSLRUD etc

OMG, I insanely second the idea of recording real-time presses!

With so much improvements keeping being brought up in the thread, I would suggest to move this movie as a WIP to the games forum and work as a real team.

So, back to what spawned this thread, the Defender of the Crown submission that ends input later, having NO gameplay improvements, should obsolete the same run that finishes input sooner?

I'll probably do, I already started a little, but actualy I'm stuck with a AMD XP1800+ with 1.25GB of RAM computer which can't run the emulator (It runs at less than 1fps...) I'll have a good computer after this week but I'll have to go back at school. Also, it may take more time than what I expected because I started to encunter more lagframes from the game when doing like this so idk if the improvement will be as good as I though, and that's not realy motivating. :\
Looks like it won't be done too soon. In this case, you will need to cancel this submission. Because it won't be accepted with such known improvements anyway.

Starting from 2450M, we are no longer producing 8bit420 encode that was our primary downloadable for years. 10bit444 encode was picked to replace it, since it is a huge upgrade in video quality, not sacrificing the file size. For compatibility with players that do not support 10bit444 encodes, we are offering 512kb encode as downloadable. It has slightly bigger file size, due to using aspect ratio correction internally and not using duplicate frame removal. Read here how to setup your player to playback 10bit444 encodes. Here is the general thread about them. Old publications are not affected by this change, encodes that already exist will stay untouched.

People say the screenshot is bad. But I don't understand anything in any Zelda game, and don't have the dump anymore, so I can't suggest a better one.

BTW, I don't think 64% of votes being Yes is enough for Moons.

Не так критично как например интеграция имен из IDA во фсеух.

1. It synced on a European ROM. 2. Handheld's region is not going to be a reason for rejection. 3. I have no freaking clue what is going on in this run. 4. I am going to accept if for Vault. Thoughts?

Adelikat and DwangoAC were going to go there to playback Gradius and SM64 0 stars using NESbot and Droid64. I suggested also playing back the glitched run of SMW by Masterjun. Ideally, Masterjun also succeeds to make a total control SMW playaround. And GhostSonic drives there to talk about snesbot. It is going to need more that 30 minutes. But we are to figure out all we possible can do for that to happen, and what we would want to happen at all. This thread is dedicated to invent and prepare everything related to that event. Console verifying NES and N64 runs looks already rather stable, while doing that for SNES is very unreliable and unexpected. Especially when it comes to finishing SMW in a couple of minutes. Especially when it is related to 4 controllers. And to freaking total control TAS! Link to video Link to video Link to video

Is it possible to figure out the amount of known improvements? Like, how many frames could be saved on a certain segment. Neither me, nor Moth know this game, so it'd be really hard to get the optimization level.
