I asked sgrunt in IRC & he permitted that, then I submitted, DK said that it must be set back to 0, and that the staff can do it, but probably forgot to clean this number.

You can't have such idea when you TAS in TASEdit, but never tried normal way TASing. Soon TASedit will have rerecord counter analog - tweak counter (incrementing each time you invalidate the greenzone).

I like that run, and it looks like done with TAS Edit due to zero rerecords.

Enabling a hotkey for "Background input" would ease time-wise my 9-tas run tremendously.
Let's imagine, you have it. If it is checked for all emulators, all you can do is unchecking it after you recorded them all. But how you gonna check it back for all emulators? They don't accept background input once you unchecked it. It's not some global system hotkey, that can be read regardless of being disabled.

As my Rockin' Kats vote may look not very obvious, I have to elaborate now. Several truly pro TASers have given up about this game, it needs much RNG-work, plus random lag avoiding, sometimes even with slowing down the motion, wise route planning. And it's rather long. So, only team could work out a real solution, maybe for the future deep obsoletion. And I've beaten this game in my childhood, except the 2 last rooms of Channel X.

If not during this contest, Rockin' Kats won't ever be improved!

This was done for FCEUX. You may take some stuff from it. http://pastebin.com/QnQSmcJh

The reason is embedded player. Looks okay on YT itself in any resolution.

I'd like to pronounce as a word anything that can be pronounced as a word. FCEUX can't, DeSmuME & TASVideos can.

You can save a state right from the Read-Only movie while watching your own progress. Pause it at the frame you need to resume from, 1. Save a state inside this movie 2. Toggly to Read+Write (Q key by default) 3. Load that state (you'll see the Record Status Icon) You can swap steps 1 & 2.

We can upload lossless video to youtube. But if it is of the console's framesize - it will SUCK extremely hard. The best solution for little uplcaling - something above 720. But why the heck we need to upscale such little? We struggle for the best possible picture. Be it 1080+.

If a child receives a box containing an expensive toy as a birthday present, it's possible that he will enjoy the box more than the toy. This is creativity. We're doing the same for these games. Instead of walking on the paths created for us, we create our own paths, our own legs and so on. And we're not listening to people who say "you can't do that!". Just like children.
Oh. My. God. We DEFINITELY need some psychological inspiration description back on that page. It is SO poetic!!! I'm extremely serious here. People around see movies, but they almost can't understand our MOTIVATION to do what we do. The sence is that: We do things that were supposed impossible, beyond human. But we do that not because we are superhumans. We merely BELIEVE this IS possible! Just recall how a new crazy trick to try first comes to your mind. It is true creativity, art in most lofty sence - to get rhyme lines, melodies, plots, images of anything you feel exalted, divine, inspiring, really interesting - DIRECTLY from "nowhere", from some sacred secret source.

And drawing the sprite pixel-by-pixel would introduce another problem: The sprites must be drawn in the right order
No, if you redraw them transparent. The real issue is sprite/backgroung order I think.

This is too labour-intensive, though I wanted to suggest something like that a week ago. But let's remember all these talks about sprite RAM. Can this sprite data be hacked on console basis, not game one? Lua may be able to kill sprites that blink (which may be detected using logging info at the first pass, say, running a movie) & draw them pixel by pixel transparently (if not, don't shoot me for n00bity).

Yadif can't be loaded, error 0x7e. Does it work with 2.6a?
