It will save about 2-3 minutes to enter levels early in 100%, as it is possible to clip into all the levels but the first 2. The time save comes mainly from skipping the level opening cutscenes.

If banning the one instance where we clip past the last door gate is a little too precise, I guess we could go by the "no levels early" category for the 42 minute run. The more I thought of it, the less sense it would make to clip into levels early in that run if an approvement were to be made. After all, I'd have to open all the levels to be able to open the door to the final boss fight if I were to only ban the 50 jiggy door clip, because the game forces you to open all the jiggy doors in the intended order.

I felt inspired by Crash Bandicoot: Warped by the way that the different branches are named. While the true any% is the run with a branch name and the moon tier ([3497] PSX Crash Bandicoot: Warped "item glitch, gate clip" by pirohiko in 05:40.77), the no major skips category is the one with the blank branch name ([3496] PSX Crash Bandicoot: Warped by The8bitbeast in 38:35.25). Note that that 2nd run still abuses glitches that allow extreme speeds, but avoids the skips that allow the runner to skip the whole game. As far as how the naming of the branch goes, I like the term "50 jiggy door skip" for the fact that it says what makes the category different from the other any% TAS, but I'm sure something simpler could be proposed if people judge that the name is too long.

All the level loading zones are there, however clipping out of bounds poses the weird problem that you lose all of your horizontal speed a few frames after clipping, putting you into a softlock: Link to video It could theorically be possible to clip into the 2 levels early, however the weird position of the water in relation to the entrance of the 2 levels does not seem to make clipping in the right spots possible.

After trying the new submission form, here's my thoughts on it: I like that there's a field to put a video link, however I feel like it'd be good to have a possibility to have multiple videos, since some people also include a commentated version or a version with something different (videos with a special overlay to display information, videos with camera hacks, etc.) in their submission. Something I like from the old way that run descriptions were displayed is that headers had different levels of indentation compared to the text. I think it made things more readable. I wonder if it'd be a good idea to hide the "prefill comments" button once people start typing their run description. I came very close to clicking that button multiple times both on the old interface and the new interface when I had most of my description typed out. The "X" button to close the textbox that starts with "Please read the Submission Instructions before submitting a movie." does not seem to work Once you submit the run, the site says that the run will be available for judging in 1 hour. Is that a placeholder? I thought the delay was 2-3 days before the judging phase could start. Another thing unrelated to the submission form: most of the links in the "Special categories" tab of the Movies page don't seem to work properly, and the "Movies by Category" and "Search" tabs give an error.

First of all, here's what I really like of the new site: *The profile pages are now easy to access. *Being able to go to a specific page for forum posts that have a lot of replies *The embedded video link when submitting a run. Here's things that I would like: *A way to sort/filter unrated movies *Night mode *A way to give more information from a run when searching, such as the category and the time. Here's an example to explain why it can be an issue: https://i.gyazo.com/578c6fbe01abc622c418d52f1a88bea7.png In this screenshot, there's 1 current any% submission, 1 current 100% submission, and 1 obsolete any% submission, but there isn't a way to tell which is which. I don't know how situational this issue is. (Also, the Spanish page for game ideas doesn't seem to be updated) *Very minor: the page for the threads related to the site should be in the General section of the forums, not in the "Other" section. I always forget that there is a section for the site stuff since it's so far down the page. *The padding may be a little too big for elements of arrays in some sections of the site. If we look at the page for the pending submissions for example, what used to fit in half a web page now cannot be shown at once. *The ability to sort in the movies page *It may be something that was forgotten, but why can we not sort the pending submissions by time? *Quotes in the forums should be smaller than the regular text. Bugs and possibly unwanted behaviour: *If the featured run on the main page has a text that is too long, the "watch" button gets hidden. *Awards don't seem to show up properly in the forums. Overall very happy with the update. Don't let the long list of possible improvements deceive you, I do think the new site's better.

I found the movie entertaining with all the technical glitches and the fast movement. However, I'm not really a fan a run of custom levels that aim to skip most of the game using major glitches. imo it kinda defeats the purpose of having new levels.

Yes vote from me. I wonder... could the speed setting be considered a dev code? The fact that there's no visual indication of what it does while you're on the main menu and the weird combination of inputs that is used to do such a thing makes me believe that it wasn't meant to be used.

Essentially feels like a game end glitch TAS, but with an added section of standing in a spot getting all the pokemons one by one with very repetitive menuing before warping to the end. Meh vote for me.

For a long of the "minimum button press" type of runs, the runs that have stood out are the ones that have had the lowest counts. Examples of those would be the "Walkathon" type of TASes that have been published on the site, such as the ones for Donkey Kong Country or Super Mario Bros. which respectively press the sprint button 5 and 0 times respectively. Another example would be Super Mario 64, which, while it is not currently published on the site, as a much lower required of A presses of 1, which would make it more notable than this Super Mario Bros. submission. This minimal A press TAS presses the A button a total of 62 times, which really does not sound as impressive as anything of the sort that was done with other challenge runs, which leads me to believe that this TAS may not have its place on the site.

While the movie does show a lot of creative techniques, a strong knowledge of the game and some unusual strats. I personally think that the number of A presses that the movie contains is rather deceiving. For that, I'm against getting the movie on the site.

I would like to thank once again Dacius and EZGames69 for picking wonderful games for the Dream Team Contests that this year has had, and I'd like to thank everyone who participated in these contests. It really gets to show that with 20+ people working on a game, we can make wonderful things, and I feel like this award really gets to show the fruit of the collaboration that everyone has put into the DTC. I can't wait to see what 2021 has for us as far as the DTCs go, and I can't wait to find out!

WarHippy and I were thinking about this: Since the actual estimate that was set for this DTC (8 minutes) is way too much, should we take out 1 week from the allowed time to do the TAS?
