I say that there needs to be a clearly drawn "This is acceptable, this is not," kind of ruling. Like, "Version X or better must be used. Older versions are not accepted anymore." At least bring the SNES emulator rules in line with the other systems. I would prefer to not allow Snes9x runs for any new submission. But I am only a viewer and I don't think I carry much weight with my opinion.

Since I started this over here: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=344379#344379 I have to ask, what version(s) of Snes9x are allowed? Because it seems that 1.43 is not. But oddly, a run using 1.51 got accepted despite being submitted beyond the continuance date. Snes9x is listed as Deprecated but the Movie Rules allows Snes9x and ZSNES runs as they are not clearly defined and/or declared as "not accepted." Other emulators have clearly defined rules. Use Version X or better. But Snes9x is the odd emulator in the bunch. The rules are more ambiguous.

Double standard of TASVideos.
Do explain.
SNES9x is Deprecated. It's on the list with others like Famtasia. If SNES9x is allowed, why not Famtasia? It's Deprecated, but if one emulator can ignore that, why not another?

Steam will give a refund to people in Europe, who have NOT downloaded the game and it's been 30 days or less. US, Your SOL. Other countries, probably SOL. The only time Valve gives a refund is if a game has MAJOR issues (The War Z). And even those refunds were limited to a period of time.

Would the Gamecube version be faster? There's those pipes you can shoot that can cut the PAL key time down. But, would the bugs still be in? Can Dolphin properly work? That being said, take that Hideo! That's for MGS2.

It's not that fun. Bosses be beat down fast. Vault acceptable. It does break the BizHawk importer. Tested on 1.4.1 and it failed to run this properly.

Right click on Computer. Select Properties. The window that appears should tell you what processor you have and how much RAM you have.

It may be based on your BitTorrent client as well. I know µTorrent can detect Hash Fails and drop them.

He takes some potion, rockets into the sky, and then breaks everything. It wouldn't be a modern Castlevania TAS with out major breaks.

Is this slower due to proper lag emulation? If so, then yes due to breaking the game, again and proving it's real.

For those that are curious, this is a warp run. Does the same path, but slower. Voting no since it's an outdated emulator and it's not that impressive.
