Luck manipulation? It's all randomized the the game begins.

This is like monopoly, not like Mario party. Mario party had minigames. I am going to have to vote no here. It's just not entertaining.

I don't think commentaries work well on games that most people will put on fast forward.

oh dear, you broke the game so badly that the colors got corrupted. And it's a grayscale game!

Well, I am satisfied with the explanation. The run is good, so it's a yes vote. Also, did you guys read the credits? Guess who the designer was...

This has to be the worst memory corruption we have ever seen. Rockman may corrupt the tiles permanently, but I question the stability of any datastructure at all here.

I am questioning the optimization of the screen scrolling, it looks like a player is lagging behind in a few spots, especially at the end of stages/rounds. Please explain.

I am disappointed in the final boss fight. I was expecting juggling of the mushrooms.

This game is somewhat better than castelevania the adventure. And the run is good.

We had a discussion on IRC about things that really doesn't work well with the normal codecs. One thing we discussed is fake pseudo transparency. That is, pseudo transparency archived by dirting with binary transparency.

And the sound loses sync in the encode. What else is new?

Voting no because too much autoscrolling.

Voting yes because it's been far too long since battle chess.

Ok, exact numbers please. How much damage does each weapon do? And how often?

The ending was a bit of a cheap trick to save frames according to the rules. But hey, the rest was nice. Can't deny how nice it is to defeat a boss as it spawns.

This should be a good start for a glitchless run:
  • Does not abuse the NMI race condition.
  • Does not use any unintended screen exits.
  • Does not pass thru solid matter.
  • Does not wrap around the screen.
  • Does not use pause to make shots hit multiple times.
  • Does not use pause to reset velocities.

Wario sure doesn't like to beat more worlds that necessarily. The improvements are obvious.

I doubt that would help, given that this is a phpbb install.

For those that didn't understand what happened, here is a brief summary of my interpretation: The game has a race condition between the NMI and the AI. With very unlikely timing you can force the AI logic to execute with the wrong memory bank selected. This will in turn end up corrupting memory and spawning random objects. In this submission said objects is manipulated to be the magical end of level object.

Anyone remember when we had to do with maybe 32 sprites at a time? Not me either.
