You got fireworks, clearly unoptimized.

I blinked. Then the game was over.

Presumably it's much slower to use the mic for manipulation? Like at least an order of magnitude slower.

Hmm, would've it been faster to pick up the flower orb on the second orb pickup to reduce menuing on the second board?

Twisted Eye Ostrich boss fight: you only took the left block to hurt it with, would it be faster to just use the right block? I think taking the block on the right would not make a difference
In other words, you didn't bother checking.

I count 14 variations of "$gamefeature doesn't work" in the submission text. The is one broken game. And that's why it's a great game choice! Good show everybody!

I could've sworn that we had a rule that the timing starts when the game code begins running. Can't seem to find such a thing. This point haven't been explored enough.

I think we can give an affordance in instantaneous clock changes. It's just not entertaining watching system menus be tased. There is no creativity or challenge there.

Good work, but I'm concerned about the password use. Can you explain why this isn't just skipping ahead in the game?

99 % chance of you trying to upload a video instead of a movie. Yes, the terms are a bit confusing. The movie is a sequence of recorded button presses. Which is tiny. The video is not.

Ultimately, it becomes less a matter of what the original game was and more a matter of what people do with the hardware. So why even include the original game in the first place? To have something to lift some assets from? Dubious. At some point, we've moved from a TAS to a plain demo. And this isn't the site for demos (however cool they are). If you want demos, a site such as Pouet is the correct location.

The thing I like with discord is not the voice chat. It's not the history system. It's not the user interface. It's the fact that you get to format the text. IRC has meh text formatting at best. It even does syntax highlighting for many programming languages. Another nice thing is automatic previews of links and uploaded files.

To elaborate on me being able to give some examples of TAS worthy games, lets start by looking at the kinds of porn games that exist.
  1. Normal games with one or two porn scenes.
  2. Glorified image galleries, usually with trivia question blocking progress.
  3. Visual novels with pornographic scenes.
  4. Platforming games with pornography as a threat, ie, get hit and the enemy rapes you until you break free.
  5. RPGs with various porn scenes and mechanics.
One can judge these classes of games from a variety of perspectives. But here I choose to focus on the suitability of them for TASing.
  1. Normal suitability, depends on the game, but usually suited
  2. Speedy cancellation, trivia games are generally not TAS material
  3. Visual novels are generally not speedrunable.
  4. We have a long history of TASing platforming games. This is the most suitable category.
  5. RPGs are tricky to deal with. We do have some TASes of RPGs, but this class of games is not the normal kind of RPGs. No, these are generally sandbox types of games where the game design is about unlocking more pornographic content than progressing through a story or having a series of interesting battles.
As such, only some of these games are suitable. But I note, we do miss out on some really good TAS material if we exclude them all.

We have a custom system. It is easy to add a field in the database to track the rating of games. It's no challenge to filter out adult titles by default. Depending on how troublesome we want to be, we can even require people to sign up for an account if they want to consume adult content. So, yes, there are satisfactory solutions to avoid people being exposed to adult content by accident. As for purposefully seeking it out, that is something only proper parenting can deal with. As for my opinion on the matter: I don't mind adult content on this site. As long as it is otherwise appropriate for the site. Many titles with adult content would be rejected on other grounds anyway. Sadly, adult games are rarely particularly interesting to speedrun. Sure, I can cite at least one well worth speedruns, but that's an exception.

It was an obsolete version of the Flash player. And by that I mean it was obsolete even on release day.

New description: They said there was nothing else to skip. It was thought impossible to find a better route. Sub five minutes was a pipe dream. And now this comes along and cuts out 44 seconds.

One tool that I've seen used is called Reclass. It is for PC games, but the tech would work just as well for a console game.

Great game, great run. Too bad that the score counter no longer overflows due to the resets, but eh.

Here is one based on a classic puzzle concept: lasers and mirrors There is a 2d grid of the size NxM. You are bouncing one laser across all of the tile in the grid. You may place one mirror on each tile. Mirrors are one sided and have to be angled on a 45 degree angle compared to the grid. The laser enters and exits the grid from outside the grid, each end aligned with one of the grid axis. How many possible solutions are there?

I am disappointed in the game for having end pipes but not requiring their use. But the run? Fast and clearly impossible to pull of in real time.
