If you get a camera and some other stuff to record a 0.00 (with skips) Go nuts. After all they accept a glitch possible in crash warped which is about 2 seconds overall.
Additional rule for that leaderboard is you need to collect the star, per the top of the page you linked.

I think that time to completion is better than time to end input. Example that just popped up to me is a racing game, where you can lay off the gas and coast to an eventual victory. I do not deny that some games have unconventional ways to end input way early, ultimately ending up with game completion. To me, this strategy would be classed as a speed-entertainment tradeoff.

You mentioned Golden Sun as a possibility, this is the post for runs of the series. Whatever game you settle on, I'll echo Patashu's sentiment that you won't start out an expert, so don't get discouraged when it takes some time to hone your skills.

It just occurred to me that Totaka's Song would've been somewhat fitting. That's hardly cause for a No, though!

Simply absurd. I'll have no choice but to watch the CV at work tomorrow.

Gonna hold off on voting until I see an encode, but don't know why I'd end up with anything other than a Yes.

Hmm, a handful of frames "wasted" vs. 1.5-2 minutes saved in boring text and cutscenes. Yep, you got me, my priorities are all out of whack. I noticed the no vote count went up by 1 after your post. XD
It actually went up before my post, not that it makes much of a difference.

Doesn't seem arbitrary to me... no mushrooms, no yoshis, no stars... nothing besides the basic mario.

A thought I just had re: screenshot could possibly be one of the uses of Growl. Perhaps on one of overleveled Cinnibar Island encounters (IIRC, this does happen). It'd have more of a "now why would he do this?!" factor going for it, and something different from a lot of other movies on here, which are simply some really glicthy graphics.

I'm pretty sure that's manditory

Fabulous work. Feels like just yesterday that I watched through the WIP, when in reality it was a couple days ago (thanks for the lua script). Spoilers: thanks for turning on battle animations for the Champion battle, that was a nice touch. Could there have been time saved in the Elite Four by teaching a different move over Thunderbolt? Especially on Bruno, those "It's Super Effective" messages feel like they should be avoidable. A quick glance at Bulbapedia seems to indicate that a possible candidate would be Psywave, which is the reward for beating Sabrina. All I'm not sure of is if the time saved by using a different move (IE, removal of Super Effective and perhaps some Critical Hit messages) would be enough to make it worth taking the time to teach it the move.

What I've seen of the WIP so far looks pretty sweet. But I'm only getting slightly over halfway through the latest one (Fuschia City Pokémon Center right after evolving Rattata, around frame ) before it desyncs for me on VBA-RR 23. 22 doesn't seem to have the same issue, fortunately. Quasi-edit after having finished the watching: looks even sweeter, catching the legendaries. All I could think was "OH GOD MY CHILDHOOD." It's always suspenseful, waiting to see the next thing you grab via the trainer fly glitch.
