You both are not right. lit bomb? ignited bomb? bomb with fire? ...Good expression don't cross my mind in English. Anyway, I wrote this in my description. > when we touch the first bomb, another one is lit. > (It changes by the bomb taken first.) > We can warp to the bomb room of next Round by taking this lit bomb last. If we don't do this like adelikat's replays, we don't warp to the next "bomb room". We must not take the all bombs without thinking about the order. Order is the most important to take the "lit(ignited?) bomb" last, and it is necessary to do the warp.

> how do you get the door to open without the sphynx? There is no sphinx in JPN version. The door opens if the last two figures of score is 70 when entering the room. > does that not work in the J version? In USA version, some treasure boxes (maybe 3?) are seen, and can open them from side. But all treasure boxes are not seen in JPN, so we can't open from side, and need to open from top. These unpopular parts seem to have been improved when putting this game on the market in USA, especially the score adjustment... that is too difficult because there is no hint...

If someone submitted a faster version using the U rom, would that stir up controversy?
I think that we should treat it separately because I used the technique that is only in JPN version in order to take 2 secret coins. (Round 10, used death) If use USA version, we need a lot of time to take them though it is possible to go a little faster than JPN version in other parts.

NES version was the worst though arcade version was quite good. There are a lot of games which her descendant appears, but I think this Athena has been forgotten... When this game was put on the market in Japan, the cassette tape which the theme song was recorded was attached. The person who sang the song married Kazuhiro Sasaki who was a baseball player of the Seattle Mariners. However, they got divorced several years ago:(

I would like to see "Secret of Mana (Seiken Densetsu 2)" 3-players-run. I enjoyed it very much in childhood though there were a lot of system bugs.

Here is my suggestion. There is the "stage select" mode in this game. By using stage select, you can play "STAGE 4" that is final level of Recca from the beginning. In addition to this, you can also play "AREA 7" that is final level of Ura-Recca. I think that recording only the final level might be better like adelikat's Zanac.

KINGS KNIGHT! oh, ive got to see this... bastard game was nothing but stress back in the day.
In Japan, "Kings Knight" and "Square no Tom Sawyer" are called "too bad game" and "blot of Square". I think so, too. These games gave me stress. Especially "Square no Tom Sawyer", that genre is RPG. The enemy of this game uses a special attack, its effect is "Game Reset". If you take this attack, you will see the title screen...that's too terrible attack. Square is a great game producer in various meanings...

However, there are some small improvements I can spot.
I did not notice them at all. Especially, I did not have even that conception in Level 10, about boost fire. To tell the truth, I was asked by my friend to play and record the movie of this game. So I didn't put spirit into this, and there are a few parts that can be improved in 5-1, 6-2 ...and other ideas to run faster might exist. However, I want to play and record other games that were requested from my friends. So, if you have free time, I want to leave TAS of this game to you.

I played and made an incomplete run of this game before. And there are a few parts that should be improved in your run. Here's my run, from Stage1 to 10. http://www.geocities.jp/his_7go/movie/LR1-10_fcm.zip I think this run is comparatively fast, but other ideas to run faster might exist.

Oh, so sorry my poor English. It is difficult for me to explain that in English... So I played in order to do the movement that I wanted to say, and recorded it. http://www.geocities.jp/his_7go/movie/Ys3.zip This movement is a little faster! And there is no problem if the battle with Girun can be skipped, forget that I say, please...

I watched your movie, and that's good calculation of EXP and ring power. But I had two anxious points, I write them. Before the 2nd boss "Elfeilu", you attacked enemies while standing. I think that attacking it while squatting down is faster than standing. And in the lava zone, you will be able to lead the boss "Girun" to the left. Please review these points if you complete this movie. The new Ys series "Ys Origin" is put on the market in this month. I am looking forward very much :)

I think so, too! JPN version is good transplant of the systems, but the music is somewhat cheap.

Pac-Man, Galaga and Clu Clu Land. I like Pac-Land better than Pac-Man, and recorded TAS movie before. But there was no ends and restarted from Stage1 when Stage16 was cleared. Why didn't you make ends...Namco...

To Mr.JXQ The boss battles start when eight bases of enemy in each stage are destroyed and there is nothing(no enemy and coin) in the screen, too.

To Mr.Twisted Eye There is invincibility time of "about one second" after the screen changes. I went forward between those. The yellow potion is only an effect of speed increase.

To Mr.Kyrsimys: I think they are nearly same. There are a few different point between USA and Japanese version, but they are small difference...the moving course of enemy, for example.(but the place of appearance is the same) So I can not convert this movie file to USA version, but I can record same or near time by similar play in English version. To Mr.Hoe: In this game, weak point of bosses is only head. If fired bubbles to body, they passed through and I could not fire next bubble until they disappeared, so I stopped firing.
