Aside from the safety risks, what would happen if i cut up an old extension cord, plugged the prongs into a regular 110 outlet, and put the two cut ends into a tub of water?

Interesting little physics program they're using here. http://media.skoopy.com/misc/whiteboard If anyone recognizes it, let me know. I'd love to mess around with it.

Nope, PJ64 wont ever be open source, i'm pretty sure. They're just not interested in that kind of a project.

Me and my wife had talked about TAS'ing this game, but i really dont like this Mupen emulator. It's very incomplete. I wish Project 64 had the tools we need. I use this emulator almost on a daily basis, and i love it. (yes, i play N64 games almost on a daily basis)

No, every game doesn't have it's own bios. The bios comes from the Playstation 2 hardware. As an interesting legal note, If you have a Legal PS2, and in your emulator you use the same bios that PS2 uses, and your using legal game disks, what your doing is 100% legal in all countries.

At the recomendation of a few people here and in chat, i'm going to contact the PCSX2 comunity, and see if we can get a dialog going between us and them. I've posted an information only thread to see where they are going in a few fields. http://forums.ngemu.com/pcsx2-official-forum/75078-questions-about-functionality.html Help me follow up with them. I'm not a coder, so i may run into questions from them that i cannot answer.

Best solution, try another bios. I had to go through 3 to get one to work. Not a bad idea to make an account for thier forums and ask around there, if that doesn't work. They've given me a LOT of help (until 0.9.1 came out, now there isn't enough help to go around, it's buggy) Just dont ask them for a bios, that's where they get snippy :)

I was talking to a buddy of mine, he's got a PSP. The damn thing is getting better every other day (and it was pretty good to start with) It already has emulators for every cartridge based console, and just last week they released a GBA emulator for it. The Fans of PSP are making it useless to own other systems. There's apparantly even a group working on the Nintendo 64 For PSP emulator. Sony is re-releasing a number of popular PS-One games for the PSP, and they're not downgraded ports, in some cases they look better on PSP than they did on the PS-One. Thoughts?

Yes, the emulator does play PS1 games because it uses a PS2 bios, which plays ps1 games. As far as iso's, look further in the setup options, there are 3 ISO plugin's there, and all have worked for me at one time or another. The emulator is kinda buggy right now due to the new release, 0.9.1. It's a much better, faster, and more stable emulator, but since the emulators compatibility relies on "patches" until it's 100%, the new build isn't as compatible with the old patches.

I dont know if anybody's following the progress of the PCSX2 emulator, but it's getting quite a bit better. The latest release is running a whackload of games at full framerates, 100% through (with patches, which i wont explain here cause i dont really understand them) http://www.pcsx2.net i had the last release running on my computer, but this release is a full "From the ground up" re-write, so i'm having some issues getting it going. Give it a shot if you've got some time, I think it's got the best shot at being Nesvideo's first official PS2 emulator. Although... how much ram or HD space would a savestate take up :)

I also cannot view this movie. I get the audio track, but no video. I have tried Windows media player, media player classic, and Real ALternative. Any other suggestions? I can view every other video on this site, with no problems.
