The team Aqua base was really funny. I'd walk right by everyone right into their base (only passing them by 1 square). At the end, there was a guy who seemed all suprised that I was there, even though everyone saw me.

If you hit all the switches, I think you get 50,000 bonus points.

Man, I was in the eighth gym, and I accidently saved all my states after ending the movie. Then, I loaded my states when the movie was in edit mode, and I lost a lot of stuff. Now it might not get done before the weekend ends (That was my goal)

Can't you go up the ramp?

You sure you aren't holding down when you launch the green turtle, because I've never had one go backwards for no reason before.

I turned battle animations off, otherwise would you said would apply. I beat the flying gym, although with a strange strategy. I let Marshtop die, and then brought out the Castform that the guy at the weather research place gave me and killed the last pokemon. After that, I went to the next city to heal, buy some TMs, and that's where I am now. Blizzard (One of the TMs I got) hits both pokemon in a double battle. Could I freeze 2 at the same time, do you think? (The next gym is a double battle. Movie here. Edit: I was so sure that Rock was weak to Ice. Has this been changed since the first games, or was it always like this?

Not that I do frame perfect testing, but it seems as though using a ghost makes you go slower. It might not be the best ides, in that case.

In that video, he hovers off to the side to avoid a boulder that is coming. With good timing, would it be possible to blow up that boulder with a bomb, and not need to jump off the track?

Now that's an idea I hadn't thought of. Not only will it really help with this gym, it's super effective against the next one too. Since it's a double battle, I can just freeze them both and attack unharmed. Thanks for that suggestion, it will be tried as soon as I can.

In fact, I've become very discouaged, but I'm not going to give up yet. Unfortunately, I have a lot of homework, and therefore won't get much time to try. Do you think it would be feasible to get the Ice Beam TM from the ruined ship?

I was wondering this as well, until it was explained. The trick that is being used to get the Light Arrows on B involves turning back into a kid. Since Sheik is in the way, you can't turn back into a kid until you have defeated Phantom Gannon.

Wouldn't it be better to come from the top, as opposed to the bottom of the elevator? Or does it start at the bottom no matter where you enter the room from?

Here is my second recorded attempt at mario 2, after a fair bit of practice. Still unable to beat world 6 though.

I was just trying Mario 64, and it's extremely hard with the keyboard. How do you people make TASes of 3-D games?

My pathetic addition to this topic. It's Super Mario Bros. 2, in case you can't tell. Note how it doesn't even finish the game, I died on 6-1 too many times.

I'm working on one, and I'm at the 6 gym with some problems. I chose Mudkip as my starter because it has advantages against lots of gyms.

How about kicking the first platform on your way down so that you bounce over to the second one?

Bombs are 30 for ten, and Bombachus are 40 for ten. Why do you even need to buy bombs at all? Can't you just get them by chopping down grass? You don't need to buy them before they appear in the grass, all you need is a bomb bag.

I forgot that you needed to do the forest temple to become a kid again.

Why exactly do you need to go to the forest temple? You don't need the Bow if you have light arrows on B, right?

They are all faster then me (maybe with the exception of Peliepper). Maybe I'll try a while longer and hope that I get lucky.

I have 9 out of 97 health, due to Pelipper using Water Gun on me. Using a potion at the start of the battle would raise my HP far enough so that I don't get the water attack boost for having less than 1/3 of my HP. Using a potion during the battle where I die doesn't help, because Altaria does about 35 damage, and the potion refills 50. This just stalls the battle, unless I waste 2 or 3 turns in a row using potions.

1. Rock Tomb cannot one hit KO it, but I'll try that too. 2. The first ice move comes right after this gym, which I hate. The only possible thing is to get it to use only Dragon Dance for the whole battle, but I'm not sure if the game is that stupid.

Okay, after some progress I have became stuck on the sixth Gym. The last pokemon is Flying (which means that it can't be hit by Mud Slap) and Dragon (which makes it resistant to Surf). I can't kill it in one hit, and it does almost as much damage as my potion heals. Anyone have any ideas on how to get past this?

You know the first Zelda game, where if you want to get the next sword, you need a certain amount of hearts? The old man says "Master using it and you can have this" Master sword, maybe?
