Well it's just that it's been a few days without any posts, I was just wondering if you guys are still testing the MM route.

Forest Temple (Complete Forest Temple; getting the bow and boss Key and then glitching into the room below and levatating upto the elavator might be worth trying)
Wouldn't it be faster just to learn the prelude of light?
You need to beat Forest to learn the prelude...

I think 100% should be as said before: all heart pieces, all inventory items, and maxed out equipment, skipping of course the blue mail and red shield if it's faster to do so. The only question I have is do the bomb and arrow upgrades need to be gotten for 100%? They add nothing to the entertainment or speed of the run, but you cannot take them away again... Oh, and I agree, there should be no need to max out your rupees; only get as many as you need.

This game has very repetitive gameplay; I could have sworn that you did some levels multiple times. There is nothing to captivate the viewer, all it is a vaguely amusing little sprite blurring his way through level after level. Also the sound scheme is very annoying, and the TAS only makes that worse. No vote from me.

The point was that I want to know the answer to the original question. >_>

I do believe the question was not whether it would be feasable for the run, rather whether the cutscene would play when one takes the exit for the silver gauntlets.

Why not? Not enough time lately to devote to it? :(

Also, that route seems to allow you to get the red and green switch palaces and not muck about with making star world easier and less entertaining, though it's still your choice if you don't want to do them...

I heard that people with linux can't watch movies recorded with Jabo's, so that's probably why he uses glN64.
Better yet, use the Rice plugin with the cell shaded mod.
Ummm, no. I'll watch the wip when I get around to it; am often busy a few hours after I wake up.

Actually, I was thinking the same thing, that switch palaces aren't considered a power up as they don't change the character's state or add abilities, and that perhaps they even wouldn't really affect much depending on the overworld route. BUT, if you guys with your experience in the matter disagree, then I haven't really much hope of convincing you. :/

Route changes may require bombs as a kid so that one may superslide off of them or use them for other things.

Close calls and excellent manipulation of an obviously difficult game means a yes vote from me. One thing I didn't like though was the repositioning for the keys at the end of most of the levels. With a TAS you should get it right the first time in my opinion (unless that had something to do with luck manipulation).

... wow, totally unexpected TAS. Yes vote, and I agree that this should not obsolete the existing run.

I'm just annoyed at the people who think that 100% should be changed if something isn't fun.
Yes, not getting the eggs/ice key wouldn't be a true 100% run when going by what the game keeps track of in the submenu and still playing the game *glares at those who forgot that the game should be beaten too*. BUT still, the only references towards actually getting them within normal gameplay would be the movies you get at the end of a no-codes-needed-unless-you-just-want-to-cheat 100%. Good thing we can argue these points while the runner is stuck back at Spiral Mountain though.

By the way, it is possible to complete a normal 11-exit run without taking any coins whatsoever, in case anybody was wondering.
But is it possible to get no coins and no powerups?

I think they were just trying to get the fastest time for Nipper that you can possibly get without worrying about how it would fit into a speedrun. And don't you get the beak bomb in freezezy peak?

But notes and empty honeycombs are counted in the totals and one can easily find out if they've gotten all of them. Mumbo tokens just tell you how many you currently have. EDIT: @Sami Well, I don't really see the point of getting the tokens, but if you really feel you should get them, then I can't really stop you.

At least he's not needed to beat the game in this one... *grumbles at him taking forever to decipher charts in Windwaker*
