I always write mine in Notepad first so I can use them as a template for future submissions.

Doesn't it only work on upward slopes?

This is the same Bisqwit that said the Donkey Kong run could have been more entertaining.

Wow, I thought the elite already reached near-tas perfection, and then this comes out and scrambles my mind. Wyster, how come some of the elite's records don't have vids? Like Caverns 00A 1:38 and Aztec 00A 1:45? Isn't video proof required before the record is accepted?

I ignore all submissions of games I haven't played, unless it's related to something I have played (SDW - SMW, for instance)

The size of stairs doesnt matter you are able to blj on the stairs near JRB which are about the same.
Yeah, but the JRB door is close to, and almost aligned straight with the lobby stairs, while the 30-star door is far away, and perpendicular to the basement stairs. Which means even if you do manage to BLJ on the basement stairs the speed most likely would not carry you far.
Twelvepack wrote:
IIRC, those stares arnt useful because they arnt "stairs" but an oddly textured slope, making BLJ impossable. I do believe that is what was said a fwe dozen pages ago.
Well Mario still makes the "bumpity-bump" animation when he walks up those stairs, which he doesn't do on slopes.

I think those stairs are too small to be of any use.

I think doing a run on the green version would only serve to heighten people's curiosity about whether the glitch works on the red/blue versions and would lead to a flooding of posts by newcomers demanding if that is possible.

Watching 50 or whatever hole in ones would be really boring, IMO. I don't think this game is suitable for tas.

well as I said before: I think the only way to do this, is to lobbyglitch into bowser 1, go downstairs, try to search a slope anywhere around there (the lowest floor is only conected with normal doors) and enter the 30-star door. do the bard bowsers sub star and voila: 1 star run
If you have enough speed, you don't even need bowser's sub star and voila: 0 star run.

Any reason why this is being done on the Green version? I'd recommend using the Blue version, since the non Japanese players never seen it.
I thought the glitch only worked on the green version? Anyhow gocha is it you putting up those vids because two different people submitted the last two.

Allowing two runs from a set game ("any%" and "100%") in the regular game section seems like an arbitrary restriction and would cause lots of clutter in the Concept Demos section.
On the other hand, allowing arbitrary restrictions for runs causes lots of clutter in the regular game section.

Why convert from avi to smv when you can just download the smv?!

Yes, you can shoot through it. No, that doesn't let you reach the upper floor. The loading of the upper floor only happens when the door goes through the opening animation (which also includes the key animation if it's the first time through the door). Any other way of getting on the other side without a door-opening animation is no good.
