Also remember that link has temporary invincibilty after getting hit, so it could take a long time to death warp late in the tas, unless you find an enemy that can hit you for more than 5 hearts of damage.

Windows vista requires a lot more cpu power, maybe that could be the cause. As for xp screwing up, that I don't know. Try formatting the hard drive and then install it again.

In general, it's better to use the boosts separately, especially if you're cutting across a grass or dirt path that would slow you down otherwise.

Maybe. But the 10-day rule holds for runs (90% of run threads end up dead, or at least for SDA), which is why I don't start such threads anymore, since it's most likely that i'll give up on it within a week and further clog the forum.

It sets a precedent and encourages the making of more dos tases.
