I have this problem all the time. You're just not patient enough to wait 10 minutes without making a topic.

Dude, there's no need to be sorry, I tested it out myself and there's no possible way to jump before the text starts or between the end of the text and the start of star animation.

Still, the new run almost forces us to start a new TAS, no matter how much leveling it needs or boring it looks.

I only know of one http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/n64/code/197141.html Super Duper Speed You can exploit the N64 controller's "Neutral position reset"; feature easily in this game. What you do is hold down on the control stick, then simultaneously press L+R+Start. What this does is set the "down" position on the joystick to neutral. So what happens when you press up? You go REALLY FAST! Problem with this is that the neutral position is now "Down." To fix it, just let the joystick go neutral, then press the button combination again. This works GREAT in the first hidden level, "Outpost Omega" when trying to do the switch puzzle to get the artifact.

LMAO! Have you ever even played the game before? What all of us said should be trivial knowledge after beating the game once.

Stereotypes are just perpetuated by a small group of zealous speedrunners. You can't generalize their abilities to the whole race. That would be like saying all Americans are wealthy because Bill Gates and Warren Buffett have the records for wealth.

maybe because it doesn't work? Look, the star doesn't appear until you scroll through Bowser's ending message. You can't activate the message when you're in the air, thus you're forced to stay on the ground and have the last input be when Mario jumps to get the star.

FODA's movie used analog stick? Wow, that must kill the fingers having to hold down positions 40,000+ times.

What's the point of voting no if it's already rejected?

I don't think there is any option in VBA that allows for such a switch, although you can hex-edit the movie file to get a GB version of it.

I'm guessing that if it were to be obsoleted it would have to be something like the MKII submission that ousted the faster submission due to entertainment.

Yeah, I'd go for lobby glitching in most cases as it should be faster, perhaps BoB should be tested...
BoB doesn't require any stars, so it's faster to just open the door and then long jump into painting.

How do you make movies and where do the files go when you make them?
File --> Record Movie, then click on the "..." and specify a name for the movie file as well as the folder in which you want it in.

I'm sure atheists won't consider it blasphemy if you don't have "GOD" in your name.

I haven't watched the movie so i can't vote, but 258 rerecords is awfully low for such a long run, and if you decide to redo you should use frame advance and many more tas tools that are available.

I've always found VBA simple to use, snes9x comes a close second.

Before it was fixed, it said "made by VANDAL" when you clicked on the publication.

Most likely it's not the rerecording version.
