Ok, done. Now, I don't know the original Japanese names for some of the other cats, like Batcat, so I left them out of the description. That can be fixed by any editor though.

I agree with fsvgm777's suggestion of the name. Cattou Ninden Teyandee was the wrong Romanization. And Spikestuff, you're right; it should be two authors.

This looks good! It's nice to see an updated run of Samurai Pizza Cats :-) It's a fairly small margin of improvement, which makes the old run more impressive. It is a shame that you have to take so much time in the last stage to get 2 Ninpo powerups. However, the route looks good. It's a surprisingly simple shortcut in Stage 6. One question: in Stage 5 (I think), you dig upwards with one cat before switching back to Batcat. You dig a little bit to the left of the breakable rocks. Why didn't you dig upwards at the edge of the dirt, right next to the breakable rocks?

Spectacular. This run is always incredibly entertaining and fast, but it feels a bit more polished now. The animation skips were quite clever, and the final boss fight is masterful when you hang out in front of the note player. I'm amused that, although the horn is shown twice in the run, you don't hear its sound either time! One question: A good portion of the time, you start super-running but don't spend any M points to do so. How does that work?

Good job! I find it sort of funny that just like the last time this got published, Aglar joins the author list because people don't incorporate some trick he had before. Is this trick so difficult to pull off that somehow only Aglar thought of it or can do it properly? It just seems like a fairly unusual situation; I'm not trying to suggest that Aglar doesn't belong or anything.

Wow! I remember dwangoAC's original run, and I was bummed out to see it canceled at the time. However, this has taken that old run and made something very special out of it. With how short this run is, I'll probably have to watch it a few times to see more of the nuances and tricks mentioned in the submission comments.

Seeing this game destroyed and optimized to death is always amusing. I've tried to understand this new route and utterly failed, but it's good to see it works. Yes!

While this is really fast, it really wasn't that interesting to me. The problem is cutting out the enemy phases completely. I'm glad that I don't see annoying soldier movements everywhere, but there's something mildly aggravating to me when I see bosses disappear without apparently being hit, and then magically Marth's health is a little lower sometimes. In this setting, the run looks like Marth is just zipping through the stages. That is awesome for speed, and it's technically impressive, but it gets repetitive faster and is a little bewildering to me. There's something about the "crunch" sounds the other FE runs have with critical hits that I've enjoyed, for instance, and you don't get that here. I don't get the same impression of how much luck was manipulated when I don't get to actually see four or more enemies go up against the hero in enemy phase and all get disposed of without damage to the hero. It may be fair to compare this to Shining In The Darkness. That's a very impressive run, technically, but to semi-quote the judgment for it, "The thing that's impressive is the thing you DON'T see: the luck manipulation." Similarly, without the ability to manipulate with cursor wiggles, and by not seeing the improbable enemy phase fights, I'm missing out on the experience of the manipulation. I'm voting Meh on this run. I think you've done a great job, but the speed alone is not enough to make it as entertaining as I was hoping for an FE run.

What Derakon said. You have to run three copies of the emulator. Start each ROM in a separate emulator copy. Pause the game in all three emulators. (Also, go to the settings and make sure that Pause can be done via hotkey... you may have to use a button other than the "Pause" button on your keyboard for this.) Once you load the same movie file in all three emulators, they'll all start and immediately pause. Hit your pause key once, and all three emulators should unpause at the same time.

Wow, this is probably the first time we've had the creator of a game comment on the very behavior of that game! (At least, this is the first time it's been done on the forums... I think Pixel had some comments about the Cave Story TAS on YouTube, and Sivak Drac had comments to Randil about his Battle Kid TAS.) It's interesting to see that the bug isn't just an integer overflow error. Does this mean that, if randomness is manipulated differently, it would be possible to reach this "kill screen" even sooner?

Seconding the "notable improvement" bit. This run is way different from the predecessor.

To echo the crowd, the music is pretty bitchin'. It doesn't seem like most of it really requires a TAS until the very end; it's a short-enough game that somebody could probably memorize all the reactions. In fact, is there any way to change your finishing time at all besides dying? Does anything slow you down in this game? It seems like the movie file is being reported with incorrect timing too... the run seems more like 1min40s and not 1min21s. I'm voting Yes on this. I'm hoping that the Commodore 64 emulation is judged stable enough to merit publication.

I'd probably hate to play this game myself, but I like watching runs of it. This time, the character is a little spastic for my tastes, but it was a fun run. Sometimes, the wacky motions of the character improved entertainment by making the hero look cocky jumping over everything. I especially liked the lake part in Stage 2, where you hit a lot of things out of the air. Also, it seems like you may have jumped out of the sewers slightly earlier in Stage 4 or 5 (I forget which).

The final boss fight was a snooze, but everything up until then was not bad. It was a little repetitive with all the ticket grabbing, especially in Stage 1, but all in all the action went ok. The game definitely has some design issues. Nice job with the precision for your first run!

What, so are you saying reject this run too? Because despite the large time difference this run and Primorial Soup's are in the same category!
Not at all. I'm saying that because this run and primorial_soup's run are the same category, this should get accepted, and it should obsolete primorial_soup's run! This is not a run that keeps the gameplay intact.

DarkKobold: For what it's worth, I support your decision. I didn't see too much detail about it, but I do remember a good part of what these users did. It's a bit of a shame to lose some of their work though... I did enjoy seeing the improvement to the GI Joe run, but there's no good way to deal with that. I also understand that this doesn't have to be a universal policy for banned users. These two users were particularly problematic. (We do have an mmarks publication, for instance...) Also, thanks for speaking up, DarkKobold. I didn't want to name you in my earlier posts in case you wanted to stay out of this.

Not sure. I don't know the details of this ban. You'd probably have to ask the site admins or judges... I'm not even sure if the main judges most responsible for negotiating this ban are even active with tasvideos.org these days.

This run is normally eligible for Vault. The problem is more that the author is not only banned from the forums but I think has even stricter restrictions... it's a long story. This isn't the only movie of theirs in submission limbo: an improvement of GI Joe The Atlantis Factor was basically hidden from the rest of the site and made ineligible for publication. I think there are a few other submissions that got stuck with that fate, like a Daedalian Opus run and Nineko's Puzzle de Pon run. So, responding to jlun2, you're right that you can't find it. I believe there are actually legal issues with this particular ban... I don't know how much more I can share.

I slightly prefer the top one, especially if you can advance a couple frames past that so the enemy isn't blinking that weird color. I also think of A Jesus Fan's run with that bit of dialogue :)

Good job with the improvements to the old submission. While the game does have a lot of walking, it's got great music and varied scenery to keep things fresh. It's funny to see the thief go through this alone and get critical hits all the time. I am not crazy about either of the screenshots. I prefer the first, but it's missing one of the important things about the run at that point: the thief going through most of the game solo. The second screenshot is just the ending, so it doesn't stand out as much. I'd recommend instead trying to get a screenshot of fighting either an Azcan warrior or two in the temple, or the miss by the Dark Elf Wizard near the end. The Azcan shot would probably be better if you could also get status messages on the screen about disarmed traps.

Wow, this game is not at all what I expected from the title. I first thought this might be a memory-corruption run of an RPG, but then I see this silly, somewhat laggy platformer. The game itself makes for an alright watch; it's short and has reasonably good visuals. My concerns are the same as Soggytoast, though. When you shoot minor enemies, you stop. It seems like you have plenty of health to spare on damage boosts.... would damage slow you down more than the stop to fire the bolt? Minor correction: you CAN enter walls from the left. That's what you do every time you glitch. I think you mean to say you want to find a way to clip walls from the right. I would also suggest that you test out the upper route in Stage 5. It's close to the end of the game, so you hopefully wouldn't have much to redo. Good luck!
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. Today, a new Kid Icarus run was published on Speed Demos Archive. It mentioned Randil and TASVideos in the acknowledgements, so I figure some other people here may have been following the development of that run. It has some nice new tricks in it that the latest TAS doesn't have! There are different screenwraps in 2-2, 2-3, and 2-4, for instance. I don't think the screenwrap for 2-4 skips enough of the stage, though, to avoid getting the health drink in the current TAS route. There were a couple things mentioned in the speedrun comments too which I hadn't heard of. One is that supposedly damage boosts always knock you to the left.

I wasn't sure originally that we had a way of marking different regions in the publication itself with PAL vs. NTSC. That was a brainfart on my part... good call.
