There is a thread for Cave Story in Windows TASing, but I'd like to see a TAS of the Wii version, because there can be a TAS of the time trial modes, Curly mode, Hell mode, etc. More efficient than the Windows version. Plus there is improved graphics. I haven't ventured too far in Dolphin TASing, but once I figure stuff out I will attempt a TAS of it.

Ok um. I think it works now, I think the problem was that it kept resetting the "Graphics > Surface Memory > System Memory" to let the game choose.

Well, save states work now, but when I use slowdown it does the same thing as before.

I've been wanting to make a TAS of Cave Story, and whenever I load a save state, the visuals of the game crashes, as I can still hear the sounds when I jump and such. I use a Windows 7 Home Premium, x86 with 8GB of RAM. Is there something I'm doing wrong, or can the emulator only run on XP? I don't think this is the case as somebody else I asked has it working on a Vista x86, and I tried it on my vista as well with no luck. Thanks.

Yes, there is slowdown. Slowdown for TASing is okay, I mean, its still possible to do frame perfect glitches and stuff. But frame advance will make that easier.
