Kartong it is. :D I was thoroughly entertained by all of the runs he has posted in 2007, and that's saying much considering there were whole 7 of them.

100% Super Metroid. (Was [un]surprisingly easier for me to choose, compared to the NES list. SM any% and DKC2 came pretty close, though.)

This list is awesome. The vote goes to Super C, though. :(

0-star = the only run listed here that I truly enjoyed.

Sounds just right for me.

Hmm… 100% Super Metroid. I considered 4-p NoES and the quadrun, but I decided that they were only incremental progress from two/three-player runs and the dualrun respectively. Typing text and making amazing animations with mere input display, on the other hand, is really something nearly none of us fathomed seeing at then current level of tool-assisted movie history.

2007 was good for Genesis games, it was truly difficult to pick one… I guess Gunstar Heroes it is.

100% Metroid Zero Mission; it was far above what I thought would be possible to get from the game entertainment-wise, and it was progressively entertaining throughout despite the length.

S3&K, due to the variety of glitches.

A tough choice, but RCR it will be.

Castlevania gets my vote, because all the 24 seconds are packed full with entertaining game-obliterating action.

I know, judging by your second post, you'll come back and say "But wait, I am a tool! I'm a huge tool! I made a super movie!!!11", but we use emulators, savestates, frame advance, etc. to produce as perfect as possible runs.
Ahahaha, score!

No, I think you remembered it wrong. I was asking if I should use shooting as a substitute to "half-pumping", but then I realized it could be done by breaking the "holding L/not holding L" cycle, which gives you an overall boost of 2 pixels, by other means (such as introducing R there somewhere, or jumping on the next frame after pressing L). I'm still going to shoot in situations where no other options are present.

I think you meant to say the opposite.

It's worse in Russia, Cpadolf: each new year's holiday period they broadcast the certain mandatory set of movies no-one wants to watch anymore. I have no idea why; it's worse than everything Disney's studio has created over the span of its existence. At least in your country people do enjoy it.

But as Randil said just now,how much rerecord count is correct? I think the answer is that we should not edit the rerecord count.Do you think so?
If you've restarted a movie from the old file, the correct value would be new rerecord number minus old rerecord number. If you've split your movie file into several and then splice them together, the correct value would be a sum of rerecord numbers from all the movies you splice in. The point is that rerecord number is considerably easy to edit in general if you really want to do so, but for no malicious purpose, it still requires going through a quite greater hassle than necessary.

:D What do you want, almost all the Touhou characters are young girls! Sex was inevitable. :) (Flawed logic, I know.) It's all still really funny though, and some of the games' principles were referenced to in sexual context (one could say it was also inevitable due to rule 34).

I haven't played any of them (bullet hell shooters), I'm mostly interested in the nice-looking patterns. :)
Lots of them there. For example, Touhou 9.5: Shoot the Bullet.

IOSYS does serious remixes too (like this one, also from Touhou 7…)
Actually, I think the "serious" ones try to look serious so hard they become ridiculous instead, on many levels at once. Most fan-made Touhou stuff (almost all the manga, for instance) is subject to that, too. This happens really often when you try to make an inherently fun thing, well, less fun — it loses its charm, at best. On that note, my favorite inofficial Touhou manga is probably this. Had tons of fun reading it.

It's supposed to be http://iki.fi/warp/grrr/batmanmovies.html, and yes, I read it about a year ago (and fully agree with it).

I think the main reason Batman is so great is that he doesn't have any ridiculous superpowers that would aid him.

Ok, more goodness, now from Shmups forum (probably deserving a separate thread): Head Tracking for Desktop VR Displays using the WiiRemote This is one of the technologies most impressive in their ergonomic simplicity and effectiveness, and the one having immense potential for 3D games, especially first person games. The illusion of depth it creates is far better than what you'd see through anaglyphs or stereograms, and requires none of the effort and eye strain needed for them. Just wonderful.

It may be that the terminators take more damage from it, or the damage dealt to them is treated as special (i.e., exempt from the normal variable interaction). This is all checked through memory, though.

The Matrix Vs. Carl Sagan The scene of Agent Smith interrogating Morpheus, overdubbed with Carl Sagan's lecture about atoms. The funniest part is that it fits quite amazingly. :) REMIX: David Elsewhere Compilation If you're looking for someone who moves really smooth, Dave Elsewhere is your man. Search for other videos on YouTube, they're all pretty amazing (although he doesn't really change his move set much).
