I think the argument has to cease regardless, everything has already been said. Let's go on onto judging/publishing, or something. >_>

Hmm, that's odd. I just checked: MPlayer, WMP 9 and VirtualDub show both of them right, but MPC shows only the first frame (then the picture remains still for about 2.5 seconds in each case). Might be an AVI splitter issue.

I also wish to thank Bisqwit and Upthorn for subtitles. What a weird game, anyway. Also, at 06:19—06:22 in the AVI, two subtitle captions appear for just a frame or so. I guess this is a typo of sorts? The timing appears correct in Bisqwit's subtitle timeline a few posts above.

I have played Vectorman as a child. Does that make anything more or less representative?

Hi, I can't really find any information on that offical site. Is this rom listed in GoodGen 3.00 database? If it is can I get the CRC or the name please. Thanks.
May I request you to read the submission text? There is a link to the post of the Sonic 2 Beta forum boards, which supplies the direct link to the hack itself. It's really hard not to notice it.

You took it right. Though, now that I have checked the Simon test fight out, I can say it lacks things like mid-air attacks/juggling or self-hits. Consider these too, even though they take more time (I assume you decided not to use certain types of attacks because they were ineffective time-wise, is that right?).

I hope you didn't forget that in order to improve the previous movie, the new one should be more entertaining, not necessarily faster.

Actually, this AVI in particular looks higher quality (to me, at least) than other SMW AVIs, yet the bitrate is the same.
You should take into account such things as the ratio of motionful scenes to static ones, and the fact that some encoders update x264 from time to time.

I hope no-one will get mad at me for yessing the 43 frame improvement scattered across all the movie without prior watching (I liked the previous version, anyway). Good job on perfecting it!

Apparently, that didn't stop Stallone from making the upcoming "John Rambo" a bloodbath.

So, in other words, the time between the last hit and the moment they arrive at the ransom scene would be the same no matter where the gunstars start?

I think having to wait is the biggest pain, otherwise it'd be trivial.

That video was around since far before YouTube. :\ Along with a hundred other similar ones.

Will the gunstars reach the Yellow release cutscene if both of them will be as close to the right side of the screen as possible?

I'm trying to figure out when 'skipping as much of the game as possible to complete it in the fastest time' was suddenly a no-no in tool-assisted speed runs.
I think it was when people figured out that skipping too much might result in lower entertainment value.

If I remember correctly, the previous He-Man movie featured Dolph Lundgren, which is actually close enough.

There should just be a warning for offensive sexual content or something.
Umm, there is no actual sexual (let alone offensive) content in this movie, at least not more than in the game itself. If you want it not to be a big deal, don't mention anything about it in the description, movie or the submission message whatsoever (a mistake FODA carelessly made when discussing the production of this movie and when writing the submission text). Informing viewer of certain part/aspect of a given content makes him pay double attention to the instances of these scenes/aspects, which normally wouldn't catch that much (or sometimes at all) attention and thus wouldn't start a big morality debate.

Bad analogy... Nice try. Obviously, if someone would start writing "Hile Hitler" whith the grappling hook, it would be as bad.
My point is, including children in such arguments is pointless, even if there are people innocent enough to not know about sex yet being able to find and play tool-assisted speedruns from this site, they would likely not understand the sexual innuendos whatsoever. Altered Beast is already gay by itself (two big undead males getting naked and turning into animals to save a bird, who later becomes a girl, how is that), I fail to see how FODA's playthrough is dirty enough to shatter a child's life in comparison.

Ok, what's the purpose of sex in a TAS? What's funny about that? Are you so primitive?
First of all, sex is fun. Movies here are made for fun.

This comes from a person defending Hitler no Fukkatsu, where dozens of people die for swastikas and revived Hitler has his head exploded. Nice try. :P

It can't work on E version because it has different timing. >_> If it works, then it's not E ROM.

Thank you, Upthorn. You made Gens a cool emulator, one of the coolest out there, and it's not even the end of your work on it yet.

I was waiting for a new Altered Beast run for almost two years, and it's finally here! And it gets straight into my top-3. :D I have a complaint, though… One of the things that amused me in the previous version so much was the incredible* design of enemies' sprites, but they all were driven offscreen in this version, which looks a bit lame in my opinion. * — retarded.

Well, I'll ask you one question then: it might be that this run won't get accepted. Are you still willing to do it? If so, go ahead.

I would like watch this video, I have the good emulator (Snes9X v1.43+ v9) and the good rom (Super Mario World (U) [!]) but after some levels, it doesn't work anymore (Mario doesn't do what he is supposed to do).
Maybe this would help?

I see the grapple beam was very useful in this run, why don't you collect it in your RBO run?
Because it's no-miniboss run as well.
