Whether this is a joke submission or not will be a mystery. What exactly did I vote, however, won't. :) (yes)

Actually, playing this game risky is the funniest of all, since you could reach some extreme speeds with skilled swings and "taking damage to save time". ;)

Is it just the (E) version in which you can completly skip the first miniboss by exiting the room before the battle begin ?
Yes. Though it might be possible to skip it on the (U) version, no-one so far has succeeded in that.

Use the European ROM. He used Crystal Flash in the point where you got stuck and couldn't progress further.

Excuse me, but the point is old, discussed to death and addressed in the guidelines.

I think alot of us have been getting in the trend latley to disregard runs as not intresting enough but then why do we come here? If we have that attitude why even play video games? So should something be judged intresting to everyone who views it or just to the person who has an emotional attachment and history with the game?
Similarly, why do you come here? To flame people for having their opinion and voting according to it? Should we judge people for their opinions?

Post subject: B.A.L.L.O (Double Wires-like concept done better)

After reading the Double Wires thread and trying it out, it occured to me that the game wasn't the best realization of the slingshot/wire action concept by far. So I decided to introduce a game that suits that title much much better: B.A.L.L.O by Marelwish Productions, the winner of Assembly '04 gamedev competition. The official site went down some time ago, so here are links for the most recent version on Underdogs and my hostspace. It's rather short, but it's much more fast and fascinating (also, good graphics). Controls: A, D — applying horizontal force to the ball; W, S — making the wire longer/shorter; mouse1 — shooting the wire; mouse2 — letting go of the wire. Enjoy.

In FCEU 0.98.16, "Config -> Enable Background Input". Try it and we'll see if it's interesting enough.

Many other archivers can decompress RAR archives. It's up to the author of a WIP, though.

Voting yes as well. The run is much better now, I suppose getting it under 11:30 would be really hard.

Wonderful improvement, and I really appreciate preserving all those hilarious post-boss antics. :) Also, deep respect for optimizing the subpixel shit. ;)

Pretty much all the search results for moozooh that aren't on the last page are about me. It also seems to be a word in some language I don't know much about, but it's almost never romanized, and thus doesn't interfere with search results much.

150 GB disk entirely filled with videos, and a 40 GB "buffer" disk for temp stuff. Only about 1.8 GB of those is tool-assisted speedrun stuff, though.

Wow. The lag in this game is obnoxious, especially in the earlier levels. Come on, Contra (J) didn't lag with twice as much shit moving on the screen with greater speed. Thankfully, the run is short enough and has some nice damage boosts to not be boring, so I vote yes. Later, when you'll be more experienced as a TASer, I'm sure you'll look at this run again and spot numerous improvements, but as of now, I think it's good enough.

Question: What weapon do you think Player 1 should have when fighting seven force?
The one that does the most damage per frame, I suppose. Blue already has a good enough weapon that would be used if hitting Seven Force with Red's isn't too convenient, so the only other thing to go with is pure damage.

Is there any risk of explosions causing lag frames that waste time?
Yes, and that should be kept in mind as well.

To my even greatest surprise, you've completely failed to notice that the posts in this thread are from 2005. 2005 is way before all but one FractalFusion's runs (and that one run still was made half a year after the actual awards). The Pokemon runs were made in 2006 and 2007. Seriously.

Well, there is a Windows emulator, developed by Microsoft. There is also Wine, which is "not an emulator", but can theoretically (as far as I understand) provide similar services. That said, the means of emulation itself are already there, but I don't think it could be used for TASing purposes any time soon.

Well, I did manage to watch them when I learned more about emulation and sync settings and stuff, but that was already in 2006, so…

Hehe, I still remember how I came across an archive with some of your ZSNES movies on ed2k in 2004 or so (named "SNES zmv movie-walktroughs for smc roms Chrono Trigger Final Fantasy Terranigma Secret Of Evermore Super Metroid and emulator by Saturn.rar"). :D I was young and stupid back then, so I didn't manage to get them to sync. I still have that archive, though.

There never was any nomination for awards since that time (hell, I wasn't even registered back then), but I glad I could be of help.
