There are legitimate reasons why a movie can be rejected
Yes, read the question up there. It says: "Did you like watching this movie?" The answer is no. Any more legitimate reasons you need?

The reason of asking such a question is that Bisqwit indeed knows what does using a proxy mean. I'm sure that Neo Shinryu will answer this question if everything is right.

That's… certainly not the best way to define anything.

Would even smallest sequence breaks and skips qualify then?

Well, if it skips any essential part of the game, or ends with a crash, or uses passwords, or sram whatever. If it's not beggining-middle-ending, it's broken.
Then we should define essential and middle.

The problem is that there's still no solid definition for being broken. Like, a normal AoS run skips two bosses, and isn't broken. Your HoD Maxim run skips all bosses and is broken. What about your AoS run then? What about Megaman 1?

I think this game is really boring. Even though it was played well, the movie wasn't entertaining at all. Voting no. EDIT: It seems that slash-star-dash has already made a run of this game 1.5 years ago. It was slower, but it didn't get any votes at all in 6 months.

And what made you think she joined in? In fact, by quoting KRocketneo she did more like the opposite. That is, if you actually read the quote.

Doesn't mean he's wrong.
Doesn't mean he has a right to start it like that, either. Meepers was replying to Zurreco who, in his turn, replied to KRocketneo himself. The only thing Vatchern should be annoyed by in this case is his own inability to see this chain of events.

Haven't seen that one yet, though I probably will tonight.

How's it going with your run moozooh?
I've put it on hold, and will restart it upon resuming. I wasn't too familiar with neither the game's physics nor memory watch so the beginning could've been improved despite being optimized a bit more than the any%. Also, I will try some randomness manipulation. And Brushy has quit TASing. :<

I kind of see tool-assisted speedrunning as being kind of in its infancy.
I think I see what are you talking about. Actually, I wouldn't call it infancy anymore. The TAS scene was indeed in its infancy when all the runs were produced only by means of slowdown and rerecording (all the 2004 was like that). Guys like Phil & Genisto ruled supreme at that point, surprisinly being able to make very optimized runs without even such thing as frame counter. Now that most TASers actively use memory watch, and are slowly moving on to using bots and ROM disassembling when/where possible, I don't think much more could be possibly done. So I guess that TASing as a discipline is already mature — it's just that not all the runners/runs are.

also, one more thing that would help is if anybody knows any other runs I can compare mine to, for the purpose of developing metrics and stealing useful strategies and that kind of thing.
Nitsuja's Sparkster run is all I can think about except those you mentioned.

Hmm, a lot of typos in this chapter. But yeah, the comic seems decent both as a reinterpretation of the plot, and as a pleasant trip down the memory lane.

The first rule of not being redundant: Stop telling KRocketneo that he is being redundant.

So what was it, "somewhat interesting", "kinda boring", or "kinda cool"? %)

Nice update, glad to see this run going faster than any other MF/MZM run these days. >_> Also, it's a bit late to ask, but did you try entering Mega-X's room on another frame?

Hmm. I actually had an impression that nearly every visually complex game that came after 16-bit era was susceptible to lag (not counting PC games, obviously).

ShowTime?... How creative. I like Angerfist better.
Fully noted. Note that whenever I submit a run, It'll be AngerFist so that creature is still a bit inside me :P Now all I need now is a kickass avatar that relates to my nickname and my cyberlife will be complete.
How about a Picture of the WWE wrestler the Big Show.
Look, how many quotes! I win!
Not so fast. AngerFist... you'll never be anyone else than AngerFist to me. *sniff*
Love you too! :) *Agrees with what Vatchern said* Edit: Do you like the quotes moozooh? :)
Yes!

How much do you think you can cut down from it?
Saturn, Drewseph and I in our wonderful little SMR TASing laboratory (lol) have just invented a very good route which will hopefully bring us sub-1:00 — that is, it should cut off more than 12 minutes off the beta-TAS. Also, I didn't say it officially, but I put my version on hold at least until Saturn's is ready (or until I run out of other things to run).

And? The input has already been terminated, and AFAIR, that scene lags even without using bombs.

I think bombing him is both faster (in input time at least) and more entertaining. You don't get to see much bombing action in this run, anyway.
