Oh yes we do have the virtually indestructible and unlimited archive.org which we can continue populating. Thanks for the reminder, thus proving conclusively that we do not need another non-swarmed download site and that any further non-swarmed contributor is a net waste as others have indicated. I forgot about that!
Your sarcasm and nitpicking are so very bilateral, substantiated and utterly productive! That's how we should make a discourse! I forgot about that.

I mean your suggestion of possibly abolishing bittorrent obviously can not have any point. That makes no sense, the two are not in any way mutually exclusive or wasteful, and there is no reason to even entertain the thought. That's perfectly clear, and not why I asked.
The more direct downloads you have, the less peers are there in BT. Most people won't bother themselves seeding the file which was already downloaded off the web. Most of them will probably not open the BT client a single time for that purpose. That's why they obviously will interfere with each other. And that was already stated by Warp. Thus we have only two choices: all for BT or no BT at all. Every middle position will grow the problem further. But in light of the fact that we already have Googlevideos at our virtually unlimited disposal (which you already mentioned, BTW), that's not a big problem. Either way we have at least two different means of distributing video content. Anyway, if you're so concerned about community, why won't you seed all the considerably rare movies out there to help other community members, instead of wasting your rhetoric skills here?

I fail to see how is that question related to the matter.

I see two possible solutions for this matter: - either all of the videos should be hosted only at Nesclone (that is, bye-bye BitTorrent —> we have only direct downloads), - or it should act as a solid seed for BitTorrent. I think the second variant is better unless you have really nice bandwidth.

Very nice indeed! Who knows, maybe you can tweak it to be a whole minute faster than the published version. Just like the last time. ;D

Why wouldn't he? We already have an exception for Legacy, but Redesign >>> Legacy, it's more like a totally new game on the same engine.

With only two energy tanks you will have 299 points of energy. MB's attack takes exactly 300 points of energy, and is uninterruptible, so you don't have the ability to do crystal flash in the middle of it.

Come on, that is easy to do in real-time. While holding jump, mash the down button twice. You'll be doing that perfectly after some practice.

Boco, there is a small tunnel to the left of the 'claw thing'. Stand one tile to the right of the entrance, jump and morph into a ball in mid-air, then press left. If you don't do anything ridiculously wrong, you'll end up in the tunnel. ;)

But you can proceed in the hot area, can't you? Hint: the readme has a paragraph on that. ;)

Boco, if you played Super Metroid before, you should know that sometimes it is easier (and apparently, much faster) to avoid the enemy than to kill it. There are no rapidly moving enemies that you cannot jump over or run under in that portion of the game.

Tub, return to Brinstar. There is a dot (more like a blue square to the right of a tall shaft) on the map that awaits you eagerly. ;) You shouldn't have any problems returning back with the Ice beam. Use the same route that you came in.

Why do you think you're stuck? You're on your way to bombs, no less.

Look for the hidden passages (or post a screenshot/savestate if that doesn't help).

Upload a screenshot or a savestate somewhere, I'm sure it's accessable. Game statistics: 112 regs, 07 supers, 13 p-bombs, 5 energy tanks, last item: Hi-Jump boots, in-game time: 08:01. Eight hours, and I still have about 50% left to discover. >_> Hi-Jump boots are totally mad! They add amazing mobility to the morphball, and I love it! :D

The game should really have a check for that.. you shouldn't be allowed to pass the point of no return towards kraid without 3 energy tanks. Was it too difficult to code a door for that? :(
I too think this hack has a little problem with that points. Just for the record, there are two bomb mazes near Crocomire. If you go down there without both Power bombs and the Grapple beam, you'll get easily trapped between P-bomb blocks and ungrippable walls. However, you can pass the lower maze, which leads to Crocomire, in two different ways: a) heavily abuse frame advance (I tried to pass that point in real-time, but considered it impossible, at least on the keyboard; note that I use ZSNES 1.36 to play, so no frame advance for me); b) try to IBJ out of the lava (which was much easier for me to do). Then, after you obtain the P-bombs, this maze becomes rather easy to pass, even without using savestates. Fortunately, that was the only problem of that type that I encountered. And now I have the Speed Booster, yo. :D

JXQ, the main reason I disliked this hack at first was its difficulty. Without abusing savestates and slowdowns, this hack is tough even for an experienced player. Moreover, with every new item found, I started to wonder where to go next. But soon, the tickling excitement of exploration eventually came over me, and I started to enjoy the challenge. First of all, you need to find some more missiles. There is a bunch of them in Brinstar and Crateria (I've got 63 now, 30 of which came from the hidden packs). Then, roughly the same goes for the energy: you need at least 3 tanks to feel yourself good. After you get Charge beam, you could use the pseudo screw attack pretty much on every enemy you meet (as it kills most of them with one hit). My present exploration speed is almost unconstrained now (the only things that still can hold me down are the speed blocks, lava, water and dead ends). For the reference, the items I've got are: Morphing Ball, Wall Jump boots, Bombs, Charge beam, Ice beam, Varia suit (also 4 Supers and 6 Power bombs).

No, three energy tanks are enough. Note the possible refills on your way, and just keep running.

Like usual, getting Varia. :D Though you've got to find the Ice beam first. All in all, you haven't got many places to go at that point. ;)

I suppose this acts as a proof that you're actually good at Super Metroid, if not too good at least. ;) Also, haven't you beat all the Metroid games in about 7 hours?

Yup, same here, but now with the Powerbomb blocks instead of the Super missile ones. :)

Woah, if that is already hard for some people, I don't know what will they be saying at the Ice beam. It is especially hard on the keyboard (if you don't use the slowdowns). There will be a lot of interesting bomb jumping places, which are fairly hard, too. Gravity is an unforgiving thing, heh.

Yay! I was waiting for it, too. Gonna play right now. :) BTW, I remember Sigfriedxx mentioning the estimated time for completing any% TAS to be around 1:30 or something. Must be a really huge game now.
