Hey! You JXQed another excellent Fabian in such an inexcusably small amount of time that it just can't get a yes vote from me. Voting no.

Yeah, you should try to use all the dash energy possible. Other than that, it looks nice.

Heh, I think there aren't many of us here who knows Metroid Legacy good enough (at least as good as you do) to find a more optimized route. So, I guess there won't be much help here. :| I'll re-watch this movie now to make myself sure there isn't any needless backtracking, but I won't promise I'll come with something useful as a result.

Actually, what I said about 100% completion relates to the first part of the original, and I don't have a clue of what's going on in the second part of the game (I've played it for about three minutes, and that's all). So, I assume, you're running Starfox 2?

Well I want to. There are a couple of tricks to speed up and/or make a Starfox movie entertaining. I know it cause I've beat this game countless times striving for a 100% completion on my SNES. %)

for those who have never played the game, there's pretty much no hope of understanding >_>; its a very out of this world version of tetris, imagine tetris if it were in first person mode. The movie doesnt show it, but you move closer and closer to the sphere the longer you take to drop a piece. eventually you crash and a very intimidating looking skull indeed indicates a lost life. acmlm never stops droppin' them though.
^^^ I suggest this as a new description text!

Grab ZSNES, load the game and look for "Save SPC" shortcut in misc. keys setup. You may also fiddle around with disabling sound channels, via F5—F12 keys. Good luck.

Someone should add that link to the published movie text, IMO.

Yeah, we should try to convince Luke of developing a direct "brain <—> computer" interface. A little patch is all we need!

You'll get hard time using frame advance (and watching memory content, too). :P

The main movement speedup comes from this. Dunno about the elevators though.

Well, of course there are. You should have already noticed that music and sounds are not interrupting each other. ;) NES has different sound channels as well.

I've actually been trying to figure out if there's a variable I can poke at which determines the game's music.
It seems that sound channels 1—5 are responsible for the background SPC ("music") playback, and 6—8 for other sound effects. I didn't test it throughout the whole game, though. As far as I can tell, you can't mess with that kind of settings in Snes9x without modifying the code (I myself used one of the ZSNES latest WIPs to check that).

Although not all of the tricks suited my taste, this movie was great. Some of your moves were cooler than in Neofix's movie, and some were just faster (but didn't look so fun). I guess it's impossible to show all the funny moments in the game without slowdowns… but hey, that was awesome nontheless. Yes vote, and… how about a star? :)

At least of all present Super Metroid runs, only this one really stands out. Terima's run was good, but it became out of the standard. Between these two, the star should definitely go a run of a much higher quality.

Well I totally agree with that, and I think your movie should get a star anyway — at least until something of similar quality is produced.

Was this supposed to get a star?
Quite improbably, considering the length. :( Although when (if?) OgreSlayeR's any% will get submitted, it will certainly get a star. The present any% already has one.
