We are ever so sorry to waste your time with such a minuscule improvement. Please accept our sincere apologies; we can't imagine how stressful and painful it must be to see a newly published movie that is of so little significance.
I mean, Jesus, only two seconds, what the fuck were we thinking?
Looks like the link is wrong, because entering any random letters/numbers into that part of the url brings up the same thing...if you can't get the original url, then you probably won't be able to see it again.
Oops, another idea already brought up.
*bugs Chamale*
Looks like it can be made with something like Movie Maker, in which case...anyone can do it. I could probably do it, if other people decided which parts of which movies should be shown.
Has (or would) anyone consider making somewhat of an update to this promotional video? Maybe to include more games and consoles (particularly some N64 games)?
D. Bq.:
Have you (or would you) every consider/ed changing the design of the site, particularly the palette? As far as I know, the non-forum part of the site has always had the same grayish design.
Don't get the wrong idea by the title. I don't drink.
I don't know if it's just me, or if it's cause I'm new at TASing, but after about an hour (sometimes longer) of using the frame advance, when I get off the computer, it feels like everything is going in frame advance speed for about 5 or 10 minutes. It's an odd feeling, but it happens when I've been working on my run for too long. I was wondering if anybody else gets this?
If you're concentrating nonstop on the emulator for a long time and suddenly stop and start moving around, it can feel a little disorienting, at least for me. I wouldn't say IRL feels like everything is going a frame at a time, but the constant focus on the emulator screen can cause disorientation when looking away from it and moving, maybe causing dizziness, maybe causing [somewhat unnoticeable] blurred vision, and that might cause what you're describing.
Amateur diagnosis. ;)
In the opening parts he mentions he has Nights but that there is also an extremely rare Christmas edition, although I find that bit hard to beleve since I got it when I first purchased the Saturn, and as a freebie with one of the magazines. I even snapped the first one I had because it was so badly scratched. Plus it was only intended to be a demo version, but mighty fine for a demo given all the cool additional stuff you could get if you pegged through it hard enough.
I dunno, maybe it was like (bare with me here, I haven't known anything about this for years) a Pokemon card that only came with a certain set (I think I remember some big holographic blue one coming only with the beginner training set). I seem to recall some special cards only coming in Nintendo Power magazine, therefore being classified as "rare".
Or maybe he's just seriously padding it.

What's up with NesVideoAgent now? It doesn't seem to be reporting any posts or movie updates like usual. It's only doing non-site-related duties on IRC.

Nintendo to End Support for Original NESNintendo has reportedly decided to stop all repairs of the original Nintendo after 24 years of support, Agence France Presse reported on Friday. A spokesperson said that the company has decided to end support due to increasingly short supplies of replacement parts. The iconic game system was sold as the Nintendo Entertainment System in the US and Europe, and as the Famicom in Japan.
Nintendo's Ken Toyoda said that while the company is sad to turn its back on the NES, the company wanted its legions of loyal fans to focus on the Wii, currently the best selling next-generation console worldwide. Nexgenwars.com, a tracker of game console sales, says the Wii has shipped 12.26 million consoles, compared to 12.2 million for the Xbox 360 and nearly 5.08 million for the PS3.Source
A little old (a couple of days? I think it might've been mentioned on IRC), but relevant.
I bet if major gun manufacturers came out with brightly colored guns, there would be a lot more successful robberies. *pictures a lime green and bright pink Smith+Wesson*
Then again, you can't blame the gas station clerks; I mean, even the packaging says "incredibly accurate".
I'll keep going with the 70 star run, but I'm waiting to hear from Bisqwit if there's a chance of it being accepted.
As a judge, I tell you the chance of acceptance is quite high. With the 1 star run being possible, the any% no longer shows off much of the run.
But more importantly, the any% now shares something in common with the 100% run in that neither show off planning as to which stars to get in order to achieve some fast time/goal. The published movies are now a "all or nothing" thinking with stars. As a result there is a niche in the SM64 movies that a movie that needs to strategically determine which stars to obtain (for whatever reason/goal) could fill. This type of route planning and "where is going to go next?" feel is entertaining. A 70 star run could very well satisfy this.
Cool, that's encouraging. I guess that would give SM64 three categories in the end.
