Whether reset-recording is allowed or not, great to see that this is continuing.

isn't there two BLJ's that can be improved? the one into BitDW and the one into PSS. that's 4-5 seconds.
Exactly.

and the few frame improvement from using a different staircase?
Over two seconds, almost as much time saved as the whole JRB improvement...Definitely worth it.

mr_roberts_z: I just watched your current WIP once again. You completed JRB in one go and seemed to wanted to do BoB afterwards.
Only if you watched the YouTube version, which cut off somewhat ambiguously; the "full" 12 star WIP version (which I wasn't able to encode, for some reason) includes TotWC, right before going into BoB. In any case, with another huge improvement found, it comes time to go back and redo old stuff before doing anything else, again.

Well see the thing about Super Mario 64 is that it's just been done TOO many times and the cycle clearly should've ended at 6:42 but I guess this is a respectable improvement and although I'd hate to see Spezzafer's run get obsoleted I suppose it may be worth it so I will have to give this a Yes vote. Yes vote.

D.Bq.: Do you know your IQ? You seem to have taken the Jung Test and the SparkNotes Personality Test, so it seems probable that you might've taken an IQ test at one point. Note that this isn't an insult in any way.

Sorry, I mis-worded it. In fact, I did mean a one-frame improvement. Lemme try one more time. D.Bq.: Would you, under any circumstances, accept a 1-frame improvement (the one Mmbossman linked to appeared to be accepted by Adelikat)?

Why do people seem to subscribe to the multiple universe theory? There's no evidence of such a thing.
Some might say it would be a kind of solipsm to assume our universe is the only one. Some people have difficulty accepting that the constants of the universe are exactly what they are. If there are many universes however, it could be inevitable that there is a universe with the constants that we currently have. It could also be an answer to a more general question why everything is the way it is. If everything that can possibly happen happens....
String theory! Oh no, wait, that's multiple dimensions. Forget that. Anyway... D.Bq.: 1. Would you, under any circumstances, be prone to accepting a 1-frame submission (as far as I'm aware, there hasn't been one yet)? 2. On the "sidebar" of the main page, "Front Page" and "Movies" both link to the same thing. Would you consider getting rid of one of these (maybe saying "Front Page (Movies) on the remaining one"?

but humans will probaly be extinct in a few hundred thousand years.
Why? Humans are homo sapiens, a normal kind of species like every other organism. The typical species lives for several million years, and we've only been here about 30,000 years, so unless we kill ourselves (if we do, it'll be a lot sooner than a few hundred thousand years), we still have a long way to go.
Aparently the universe ends in about 10 billion years time
Wouldn't that depend on what cosmological theory you believe (ie, heat death, Big Crunch, etc)?

One of these things. Think of a primitive, clunky iPod video, but with an awkward PVR system included. Plays barely anything (mp3, wma, DivX avi [non-HD], jpg...all unprotected). Been working perfectly for two and a half years.

1. If you have a question, please read the FAQ first to see if your question has already been answered. 2. Avatar way too big.

Very good. Wouldn't have expected the last one to be improved this much.

My short term memory sucks, and I don't remember if this was asked/answered: Has the final elevator in BitS been tested to see if a BLJ is quicker than jumping along the edge of the wind platform?
Yep.

Nope, it's impossible to wall kick off an invisible wall. Even if Mario could, the angle would be all wrong.
I've jumped off many an invisible wall, including that specific one
Would you be able to make a video of you doing that?

oh and in the first bowser stage (im not that good with the stage-names) jou repeatedly jump on the elevator (this turning wheel thing) before you jump down to perform the BLJ. why?
Because the elevator isn't lined up properly when Mario gets there.
And because it looks cooler than just walking into the right position. ;)

In Bowser 1, there's an invisible wall so close to the start you can turn around, long jump, and wall jump back to the course. Would it be possible to use this invisible wall to get the first red coin without needing to push the button?
Nope, it's impossible to wall kick off an invisible wall. Even if Mario could, the angle would be all wrong. Thanks for all the feedback so far.

Okay, new 120 star WIP...First of about three non-snapshot WIPs. 12 stars done, mostly a redone JRB and the Lobby Secret Stars. Enjoy. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1616323801/RZ%20-%20SM64%20%28120%29%20-%2012%20Stars%20Done.m64

Did you select the Input Plugin from the Settings menu?

I think the most obvious/important question now is...how did the airplane staff react to you snapping pictures of the interior of the plane? Also, what camera did you use?

Why isn't there a politics thread in the OT forum? Nowadays, every forum has a politics thread. Bisqwit: when might more of those pictures come up?
