ZeXr0, you're awesome, and you're officially my new hero. Now I can finally see some movies I never managed to get. By the way, keep in mind that some movies already have an archive.org link, so you can avoid to upload them if you want.

Here's the new .gmv. I've already PM'd it to admin, but here it is until the change is made. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/730094280/toystory.gmv
Encoded. But since I'm dumb, it uses the stats (playing time and rerecord count) from the original submission, so it's not suitable for publication.

I'd love to see an encode of this. Lemmings is one of my favorite games, but I'm unlucky when it comes to configure SNES emulators (e.g. I get no sound).

I've been waiting a long time for this run to come along, and it was great to see the final end product. My only gripe is that you don't complete the last level.
Wait, so it was supposed to give a Game Over screen? Damn, I was encoding this and I thought it desync'd, I wasted two hours of time D:

Yes, it was implied that the AVIs I upload on archive.org are the official ones. Which is why I could upload so few, as I already said elsewhere, I'm having troubles to get those AVIs in the first place :\ As of today, I uploaded approximately 50 AVIs on archive.org, I'll see if I can keep them coming; fractalwizz, I hope you're going to help ;)

This run is good, can't you just make an exception and accept it? Then if an equivalent (U) run is ever made it can obsolete this or something (given that it's not 30 minutes longer). I feel we might lose a good run :\

If you really want to help with the downloads just upload as many AVIs as you can on archive.org

I wish FBA will be approved for official use soon, there are so many arcade games I'd love to TAS (including but not limiting to Overtop).

I have a couple of TASes on my channel but I doubt I qualify to be included in that list.

Just watched this... I must say that the levels are rather interesting and I like them, though the bosses are quite long and boring, as you himself said in the submission text. All in all, a nice movie. Encoded.

I think a 70 stars run isn't needed, because it would be a subset of the 120 stars run, no more than that. Route planning or not, the 70 stars are collected anyway in the 120 stars run, so I'm not in favor of this one. If you want to see a 70 stars run, load the 120 stars run and skip the 50 slowest stars by hand. Done. 0 and 120 are enough, in my opinion.

I can help out with getting the avi files onto archive.org. I just need some help getting the files to my computer.
lol, welcome to my world. I uploaded as many AVIs as I could, but I stopped when I realised that I wasn't able to get the files in the first place. I actually managed to download a couple more of them in the last month, I might as well upload them, so thanks for the heads up, I guess. edit: Since it has been some time since the last time I mirrored something on archive.org, I don't know who I should send a PM to, I used to contact either mmbossman or Raiscan, but I don't know who of them is more active nowadays, so I'll just drop the links here, and whoever wants to edit them into the page, be my guest. This goes here This goes here This goes here 3 more to come, but later.

All I can say is take your time and finish this. You've been doing an awesome job with this TAS, you should be the one that completes it, given that you still have the motivation for this task. I look forward to the new strategies.

I know, but you are the one who delivers the movies, therefore the one we need to keep motivated in order for this project not to die :3

Wow, I just read through the whole thread (I wasn't active on tasvideos one year ago), and I must say that I liked all the WIPs posted. Comicalflop, you're awesome. I'm looking forward to this.

Even if I loved the old run a lot, since this 100% isn't much slower and different from that, I'd say an obsoletion is due.

Fixed that link for you. phpBB2 doesn't play nice with brackets, you have to replace them with %28 and %29.

- "n% faster" means that the old run has n% frames more than the new run. In other words, "25% faster" means that if the new run consists of 100000 frames, it means the old run had 125000 frames. Also "100% faster" means that if the new run consists of 100000 frames, the old run consists of 200000 frames.
I think this is the best way to calculate it, so a movie can be 200% faster for example, if it is 100000 frames now, and it was 300000 frames before. Or not. Did I get it wrong?
