Wait, there is something I don't get. My answer was "Raiscan and Tub", how could I win, since I didn't get any of them? o.o

I hate Microsoft, but I use XP because I'm not ready to switch to Linux yet. For sure I'll never install Vista, but I might give Windows 7 a try eventually. To be honest, I really miss MS-DOS... And I doubt I'm the only one. Direct hardware access ftw, I remember playing Doom on my 386, it was almost smooth.

Maybe the OP watched too much Dragon Ball Z and thinks that the fusion dance is possible. Hey ShinyDoofy, let's try. Fu... sion... ha! *turns into ShinyNeko*

Those random pixels always bothered me, and I thought they were garbage: After closer inspection, though, I found out that this picture is being set as background for some reason. It's a very minor issue, but it's also easily fixable. Confirmed in Firefox 1.0.7, Chrome 1.0.154.36, and Internet Explorer 6.0.2900.2180, where it's even more obvious:

Try to upload them anyway. If it's a problem with your mux, Youtube will fix it automatically. I had thad problem with the codecs I used in the past, all my AVIs desynched but they played fine on Youtube.

I don't see the problem with the quick camera changes, to be honest. Without them, the video would need to be flagged as "contains speed/entertainment tradeoffs" or even rejected because a known optimisation isn't applied. Just my 2¢

Actually, I voted for Sparkster too. One of those two votes is mine.

Keep in mind that by doing so you may screw up any luck manipulation that occurred in your TAS, so the previous attempt may stop being "better". On topic, I don't know how to help you.

It surprises me a little that this game isn't glitchy enough to zip through the floor really fast, or something similarly retarded.
Most fangames are much better than official games. For one, because people who program fangames usually are the same people who break official games to hell, so they know the best direction to take to solve a problem. edit: encoded.

Is there a way of adding those MKVs to the "folders" ZeXr0 created? If so, it'd be great to see them in there so have the whole package for all of a console's movies.
He has to upload them again, I guess. Unless someone can contact an archive.org administrator and see if it's possible to move them now. I don't think that's needed though, the most important thing is to have a working mirror link on the movie page. Either way, I'm still uploading: http://www.archive.org/download/sneslemmings_tas_lordtom/sneslemmings-tas-lordtom.mkv Since you're a publisher you can add those links to the movie pages :p Also you can add the youtube links uploaded by Flygon... He's been uploading everything recently.

Also, archive.org does not support MKVs?

hum I don't really know Archive.org and it's pretty hard to figure out what to do. mkv files got deleted and I don't really understand out it works.
Though ShinyDoofy's post makes me wonder that maybe ZeXr0 was doing it wrong. I didn't check it out myself, I will do some testing. And I swear, this is the last time I take someone's words as true without checking :\ edit: ok, ZeXr0 was doing it wrong. I assumed he was right and I didn't bother to check. My fault. MKVs can be uploaded on archive.org Here's the first one: http://www.archive.org/download/smb1fds_tasv2_happylee/smb1fds-tasv2-happylee.mkv More to come, I guess. I'll upload Lemmings next.

Is there someone that can make a list of every movies that missed a movie on archive.org ? That way I could redownload them and upload them
I think you shouldn't bother, I uploaded the most recent movies, I doubt there are any gaps left. Also they're taking an "all MKV" route meaning that archive.org mirrors aren't possible anymore.

And here's an encode. Though Ferret Warlord's youtube link is preferred. http://rapidshare.com/files/196083819/cheetahmen2-tas-was0x.avi Man I love the background song.

Please bear in mind when downloading that some very recent runs aren't included in that list.
I uploaded the most recent AVIs, but of course they don't appear in ZeXr0's lists. If sprite wants he'll have to look for them in the main list (and/or just use the torrents according to what is faster for him).
Raiscan wrote:
Similarly, a large amount of obsoleted runs aren't either.
Yeah, my "95%" guess was intended as "95% of non-obsoleted runs". The obsoleted AVIs/MKVs aren't obtainable anyway from the main site, so I excluded them by default. On the other hand, some obsoleted movies still have an archive.org link (either mine or ZeXr0's).

Is there a moviepack containing _all_ the speedruns on this site?
No, but ZeXr0 uploaded all the AVIs on archive.org (MKVs were rejected though), you can just throw that list into a suitable plugin or download accelerator. http://www.archive.org/details/TASVideos_Nes http://www.archive.org/details/TASVideos_SNES http://www.archive.org/details/TASVideos_GENESIS http://www.archive.org/details/TASVideos_GameBoy http://www.archive.org/details/TASVideos_GBA http://www.archive.org/details/TASVideos_N64 http://www.archive.org/details/TASVideos_SMS Maybe these aren't *all*, but > 95% is a reasonable guess. Note: you should download the "cinepack" version (*.avi), the other versions are transcodes made by archive.org, and they suck.

Now that this one has been cancelled I have something to say. I knew since the beginning that my TAS wasn't going to be approved (or approved and quickly obsoleted in the best scenario), since I suck at TASing. I just wanted to gather some interest from the good Sonic speedrunners such as upthorn or nitsuja, and things went exactly as I planned. Now I'm glad to see this spawned some serious interest and I'm pretty confident that this will lead to a real TAS of the competition levels, maybe in the glitcher Sonic 3.
